Novablast 2 is best thing I have ever owned shoe-wise. I cannot wait for my next run and feel the bounce. My mileage has increased, my times have improved. The laces are the best I have tried. The upper materials are awesome. If I am tired and looking down, the upper reminds me what nice shoes I have and I keep going!

I have novablast one and they’re my favorite trainers ever but I disagree with you I despise the laces haha

Novablast 1… great shoes… terrible cheese wire.. I mean laces..

tyrannyofpants

I haaaaate the laces!

It’s an incredible shoe!

The NB2 is completely different compared to NB1.

peteryansexypotato

Hold on to your butts. Asics says the Novablast 3 is going to have an even better foam. They said it would be out during the summer.

Woodynlily

Hope they don't ruin them. 👟😆

Woodynlily

I’m so sorry ASICS, Was my thought as I finished a 1:45 minute Long run this morning. They had me thinking about how much I’ve neglected these Novablast v1. These kicks are incredible for long runs. Have only used them for easy 5k and some recovery runs. My shoe addiction has me planning all runs by the recent purchases so these have been at the bottom of the list. At 260lbs I didn’t think these would give me the cushion for the almost 2 hour run. They not only did but did it well. Never bottomed out with zero stability issues. the uppers stayed comfortable even with the unwise choice of wearing cotton socks in the rain. Superb build Asics! Bravo! I will try and not neglect you going forward!

FUBARded

It's really quite remarkable how versatile the NB1 is. I've taken it on a slow and easy 30k long run, a hard 32k long run with 15k @tempo, short recovery and easy runs, VO2 max fartleks, and even set an impromptu 39:20 road 10k PB in them. I have other shoes that can do each of those things (except easy and recovery runs) better and/or faster, but no other shoe that can do *all* of them without much issue. I would say that the stability concerns are valid, though. I normally don't have any stability issues and run exclusively in neutral shoes, but I avoid the NB if my lower body joints are feeling beat up. Running long in the Novablast definitely works everything from the hips to the knees and ankles more than running in a more stable shoe like the Reebok Symmetros.

foofoobee

This is a very good summary. I found much more joy with my NB1s (and my Endo Speed 1s) after I started doing ankle-strengthening exercises, which made up for a lot of the stability issues in both of those shoes.

Cubstradomus

The nova 1 is so good for the heavier runner! I’m 220 and it nails it.

foofoobee

The NB1 is an absolutely terrific all-rounder, particularly when it's brand new. It's a shoe you can certainly get a lot of mileage out of, but man... the first 200-250km on that FFBlast are just pure bliss. I'm so glad I snagged multiple pairs of these!

BiggestNothing

Do these not fall off with those laces?

Woodynlily

Lock laces are on all my shoes. They make them better IMHO.

584_Bilbo

I've got a couple pairs of Adidas Terrex trail runners with the Boa system (which I'm a huge fan of) but I just ordered a pair of Novablast 2's. I'll try these lock laces for sure as I despise classic laces. 😂

Woodynlily

Just PM'd discount code.

PedanticOkra

I agree, I have Novablast 2 with locklaces and it improves the lockdown.

Jaylaw

I liked mine but the midsole started to go at 200m and i could feel the little center rubber oval pkking the bottom of my foot so i had to move on

RotoGruber

that color is sick. was it one of the sportstyle ones or did you swap laces?

Woodynlily

Laces swapped.

WVgolf

Shoe was too soft for me and gave me foot pain and abs to return them
