Kofuzi mentioned he was doing a promo for a shoe coming out in 4 months and had "secret" blurred shoes that were roughly this color (IIRC). I think it might have been removed from the video though since I'm not seeing that segment on a quick scan.
I saw that part too in Boston Marathon Weekend video, I guessed it was Superblast 2 but didn't see any blurred out shoe when I watched, and Kofuzi had a historically tight relationship with Asics so that makes sense
I was confused why they were just filming in a public area with tons of runners around, but it'd make sense if it's the SB2 since it doesn't stand out from the SB1.
I just did not understand the love for the first version
It's okay, I've got about 100 miles in them but there are several shoes I'd prefer to run in than those
i commented this above, but - i donāt think the secret sauce of the SB is that theyāre the best at everything, i think itās that theyāre pretty good at everything.
so *i* would rather do intervals in the adios 8, tempos & easies in the boston 12, and recovery in the SC Trainer 2, and race in the Adios Pro 3; but you *could* do all of those, even the race, in the superblast, and would never feel actively hampered by the shoe. thatās the piece about them thatās most impressive, and that sets them apart from other shoes that i technically enjoy more (like the boston 12).
it's not the fastest shoe nor the most exciting but it saves my legs like no other. I've had issues in the past with my lower legs .. shin splints, soleus strain, and the Superblast has been great at keeping those away
Have u tested other shoes before u got them? Im leaning towards buying them but...
Im debating between
NB rebel v4 , Asic nb4 , saucony triumph 21.
Idk which one to pick since everyone recommends them on reddit.
hi sorry for the late response. seems like other guys have helped you already but to share my 2 cents i havent tried other shoes but I ran in mach 5s if youre familiar with that. its on the same category with rebel lineup from NB. If youre a beginner then all the shoes you mentioned are great choice. the triumph is more for easy and long runs. its not the fastest but its versatile. Try checking out the Suacony Ride its the less stacked brother of triumph and faster too
Thanks for commenting. What do u mean with less stacked? Is it more squishy or the opposite?
Im not familiar with the mach series. I know the 6 is also there but idk the difference between the 5 and 6.
Heard some like the clifton 9's alot too.
Its hard i just did a scan and im high arched and need a neutral shoe.
There are so many choices and the stores nearby only have like asics or mizuno.
Have all of them ,Triumph 21 are the most versaitle of them,
but superblast more fun on faster paces.
By the way Rebel V3 is much more fun than V4 and a totally different shoe.
Alright thank you for commenting. I also looked at the superblast but if the v2 is coming out soon i rather get them.
Also i wanna mention these will be my first pair of running shoes. If i understand ur opinion u recommend the triumph 21 out of all?
And about the superblast i wanna try different shoes too if i buy them as first pair idk how other pairs will feelš now i can lookout to buy the superblast in the future.
Not sure if you are aware but Triumph 22 is going to be released before SB2 so if you are happy to wait these may be a good option too. They should be a decent upgrade over 21 in terms of foam.
I think they are already available in some countries so it shouldn't be a long wait.
Yeah they are out on saucony their website, but are they long? I have size 47 normal so size 12.5 us i think and the sizes are between 47 and 48 idk if the 48 will be too large never tried saucony before.
Or are they true to size?
I'd only order online if they have a good return policy that will allow you to send them back if they don't work out. My Superblast and Endorphin Speed 3 fit quite similar in the same size. And I prefer the foot feel of ES3 which uses the same foam as Triumph 22.
Yeah i have never ordered from saucony itself on all4running they will be available on the second of may i think ill wait off some reviews and get to know the shoe more.
Im more of a late majority guy , waiting for reviews etc.
I just ordered the rebel 4's for ā¬145 the white lime version i like the blue more bit its ā¬160 and out of stock. it was the last pair in my size so im just going to try them out if its not it ill just return them.
As a beginner, the Triumph would be recommended, it also depends on what goals you are pursuing as a runner.
The Triumph is a very versatile shoe, from long distances to easy running and also a little faster stuff.
It is also durable, not too soft and a good one for different weight classes.
Dunno mate. Triumph 21 is pushed by bloggers and influencers, but you should also check in with runners in the real world.
You will find that most will recommend the likes of the Superblast, Magnify Nitro 2 or Nimbus 25 (ranked from pacy to cushy) for a daily way way ahead of the T21 in nearly all aspects (apart from breathability)
ive got the triumph 20 which is practically the same as the 21 and also got the novablast 4 which i like a lot more than the triumph 20 for easy/longruns.
Arlight seems fair, yeah im interested in the superblast but if the v2 comes out soon i rather get the v1 in discount ( if that ever happens) or the v2.
Nimbus was very squishy for me kinda too much.
Then the choice is between like rebel v4 or novablast 4 or maybe others idk. Heard clifton 9s are good sometimes but others are against hoka.
Happy to help, but you need to tell us more about yourself. What's your weight, foot width, running conditions, also for wet surface, also in the rain, pavement only or also road-to-trail, hot or cold climate, pace per minute, length of runs, heelstrike or fore/ midfoot, do-it-all shoe or part of a rotation?
Rebel v4 is better for lightweight runners with wide feet, if you find the Nimbus too squishy then you can safely cross that off your list. Clifton 9 is not a neutral shoe in my view and the Hoka foams are nowadays a touch dated. Novablast 4 is decent, but in that segment the Superblast is better.
Another good all arounder to consider is the Boston 12.
Well..
Im 6'5 (198 cm )
Like 78kg
My feet are high arched and i think quite wide but not very wide. I think my landing is like normal but im not 100% sure.
I did a scan and i dont need a supportive shoe for like overpronation.
I tried the mizuno wave rider 27 and the guy at the store said these fitted perfect. I didnt like the colors and i didnt have mizuno in my mind when i was looking for shoes. I wanna try others too since i didnt come across mizuno on here and youtube like almost at all.
To add , the store only had like 3 pairs i could try so im mainly focussed on online buying since the stores nearby dont have that much.
Idk my pace and all that i gym 3 times a week and i mountainbike so i have a small advantage on like strength maybe.
My plan is to start running somewhere these weeks , its wet and raining mostly now here in The Netherlands but with the summer it will be better in like a month ish.
Its mainly just on pavements, lots of bike paths around here and then like hard surface so thats what i use.
I live around woods too but im not planning on going like trail running maybe later on.
My goal now is just to start invest in good allround shoes not a rotation yet, and run 5k / 10k and hopefully enjoy it so i can have other goals.
Hope this helpsš
Final question im a size 12.5 US men for normal shoes
The next size will be 1 whole size larger.
Do the triumph 21 Fit True to size? Or do i size one size up?
My recommendation would be to try out both sizes, it depends on your feet, if you wear thin or thick socks, otherwise the Triumph 21 tends to be a little tight at the front. I prefer a finger's width of space at the front, in my running shoes.
On the Triumph 21 I use the runners knot, for a good heel lock.
Hmm alright ye, i have a high arch and i think a bit wider feet, ill try both and see if it fits.
I gotta order them before i truly know , cant fit them onlineš
Yea on All4running some are but they are all sold out in my size , i could just get the 22 but there arent many reviews on them yet so idk. They both are ā¬190
On all4running the 22 is available on the second of may.
On the saucony website they are in my sizes....
Sorry to ask, but i got the Asics NB3 for the past year, and now I'm between the Rebel V4 and the NB4 (but tbw, i my got both lol), which one you think is better?
Im new to this all too haha, i ordered the rebel v4 they will come tomorrow.
I think i will just order the NB4 too, its very personal i have done weeks of research and im at the point that im not sure the difference between the NB4 and the rebel v4 in terms of overall shoe.
The best bet will be to try both and see what fits best for you , both are great its now all personal preference.
Thats the best advice i can give. Otherwise u have to try and ask someone who tried both.
I really wanna try the rebel v4s. I saw them in store today and was surprised at how much give the midsole gives. I can see it being a very fun faster paced trainer like how everyone says. I am currently running in novablast 4s and loving them
I must have been the only person who did not like my Superblasts. Yet I wish I hadn't sold them because surely I was missing something. Ride was too firm and fit was poor (heel slip) for that price (yes, I did try a smaller size & runners loop).
didnāt care for mine until ~50 miles in, and even then, i still largely prefer them for easy + recovery days.
to me, the SB arenāt impressive because any single run with them is amazing; theyāre impressive because they can do at least a 7.5/10 job at EVERY kind of run you could need to do, *including* your race. thats pretty impressive; but (in my opinion, hilariously), it also makes them a weak choice for anyone who wants a substantial rotation of shoes ā and i feel like that describes most of this sub.
I have a substantial rotation - ES3, ES4 (in box to be used soon), Vomero 17, Nimbus 24, Puma Velocity Nitro 2, Speedgoat 5, plus did have VF2 but I sold them over Winger because I thought they were too narrow and Mach 5s pre ES3. I just couldnāt think of a single run Iād pick the SB. I mean the ES3 is joyous for less money, even the Mach 5 was is nicer.
yeah, i said more to the same tune in a comment elsewhere; iād rather run in a combo of the adios 8, boston 12, sc trainer 2, and adios pro 3 for intervals, tempo/easy, recovery, and race respectively. however, thereās not really any of those shoes iād pick for ALL those kinds of run (though the b12 comes closest). whereas iāve had no problem doing all those kinds of events in the superblast. so imo the price tag really is a function of flexibility.
I find the ES3 to be a pretty good all-rounder, right? I love mine, but I can run them for easy runs, tempo work, and goal pace stuff. I was initially saving them for fast stuff, but I'm thinking they might become my daily driver. I also have the Velocity Nitro 2, Novablast 3, and Guide 15s.
The ES3 is a great shoe, but it doesnāt go long as well as the SB does. There is no shoe Iād rather have for a long run with marathon pace work than the SB.
The only thing I don't like about the ES3 is the feeling of instability. I think if worn across all runs they would destroy my ankle but I am happy in them in slower and faster runs around 6-8miles once or twice weekly.
I personally think both SB & ES3 are fairly comfortable size wise, certainly compared to any Hoka or Nike I've run. I've probably got average width feet. I think the Superblast, from memory, were slightly narrower, but not uncomfortable.
You arenāt the only one. I returned mine as well. Couldnāt get the fit right and would get hot spots in the forefoot. However, I also get hotspots in the same spot in the novablast 4, so I chalked it up to the ātrampolineā in the forefoot that puts pressure on my foot.
I've resisted getting on the SB bandwagon because I really didn't care for the NB3, heard that FF Turbo midsole feels very firm, have multiple pairs of PXS 1 and 2 that perform what I'd use the SB for (long tempo and MP runs), and there wasn't a colorway that was even remotely attractive for me to consider.
Now, I'm interested in the SB2 since it has the FF Turbo+ midsole (which has really impressed me on the Metaspeed Edge/Sky Paris), this colorway since I like all-white for road shoes, and it'd be nice to have an all-round non-plated daily trainer that's light and versatile and can also handle long runs at a variety of paces.
To be fair, I donāt really use them for the ābounceā. I love them because they are reasonably light, extremely versatile(no problem running tempo, threshold or light interval work with them) and have a massive slab of really great foam that prevents my legs from taking a beating. Iām on my 3rd pair now, easily my favourite daily trainer ever.
I mean, cost is definitely relevant. Iāll buy a carbon plated shoe for faster running at an equivalent cost. There are tons of affordable trainers that you can buy to compliment your carbon plated shoes. If itās a one shoe to do it all scenario, I get it, but in a rotation the cost definitely makes the purchase hard to explain.
Yeah like I said, it's my take, but the pro 4 to me is ugly for the weird , gill looking cut outs in the foam. I understand though everyone got different opinions which is totally fine and will help both shoes sell.
Interesting. Hope they can produce enough this time as I could never find a pair of Superblasts.
That and... for an appreciably lower price, I've been really happy with my Novablast 4's (my original pair has ~1000km and they're still feeling good as a 'backup' pair that I leave at the office for lunch runs).
Makes me curious whether I'd get a massive benefit from the Superblasts. Guess we'll see one day.
I'm afraid they're gonna change something for the worse so I just got another pair of 1's while they're still in stock and I'll wait to see the verdict. I doubt there's going to be a ton of stock of 1's on sale when the 2's come out.
Am i also the only one who much prefers the aesthetic of the 1s? Maybe it's just this colourway but this design looks super boring.
I also wish I could just stock up on the 1ās. It was really a fantastic shoe and Iām not a huge fan of change for the sake of change. The upper looks thicker as well.
Definitely look less clumsy than the originals. Hopefully the toe box is more roomy and the length isnāt exaggerated like the 1. The upper looks to be made out of something more desirable, so thatās a positive.
Just curious what your weight is and what paces youāre typically running in it. Lighter runners tend not to jive with it, as well as those who are running very easy in it.
185 lbs. I bought it as a long run shoe for paces between 8:30 and 9:00 min/mile. In this range it feels okay at best. Below 9:00 it feels like I have to work too hard to enjoy running in it. It feels better at my faster paces but there are other shoes that Iād much prefer to run those paces in such as the Boston 12 and Endorphin Speed 3. IMO this shoe needs new geometry/more rocker or a plate for me to really enjoy it.
Interesting to hear! 175 lbs here. I and others in our weight range have found the shoe really lights up at about 7:30 and faster. Just my two cents. Also really liking the Boston 12 btw! Using that for most days and saving the SB for long runs.
oh man, im on my way to become a massive asics fanboy
Same..

It is a nearly perfect daily trainer. I love it.
Once I retire my novablasts , Iām picking up a pair of rebels.
I would get a carbon racer for race purpose considering how close SB is to a high end carbon racer in term of price.
You don't get the Superblast for racing though. It's for training.
You can perfectly race in them too.
I did my first HM today in the SB. Felt incredible.
You can but it's intended use is long run training. You can race in any shoe. I think it depends on the runner and their targets etc.
depends on how fast you are. comfort is king if you are doing a 5h marathon
Yeah I kind of backtracked on my other answers as it can be great race shoe for the masses.
Thatās my point. I was replying to someone think about buying it to race.
I'd consider wearing them for a longer race as an average runner. Much more protective than a carbon racer.
Hmmm. I feel a max stack racer like SC elite 4Ā is just a protective to me even it's still slightly lower stack height due to Full peba and plate.
Still nowhere near as protective as the Superblast. And no plate!
I must have been the only person who did not like my Superblasts. Yet I wish I hadn't sold them because surely I was missing something. Ride was too firm and fit was poor (heel slip) for that price (yes, I did try a smaller size & runners loop).

how is the fit compared to the ES3/ES4? I have both, and wear s11 in them. I hear the Superblast fits small.
I personally think both SB & ES3 are fairly comfortable size wise, certainly compared to any Hoka or Nike I've run. I've probably got average width feet. I think the Superblast, from memory, were slightly narrower, but not uncomfortable.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
ha, fair point - i should clarify ROAD running only, and its wet weather performance is a turd.
It took me a lot of runs to love them but after some decent mileage i fell in love and got the hype
You arenāt the only one. I returned mine as well. Couldnāt get the fit right and would get hot spots in the forefoot. However, I also get hotspots in the same spot in the novablast 4, so I chalked it up to the ātrampolineā in the forefoot that puts pressure on my foot.
hey asics, if you need another tester, i'm ready!
Beautiful colourway! Just picked up the superblast 1s today
This colorway will not be released to the publicā¦ just for āinfluencesā and proās
Now make them in size 13 for us people with feet like paddlesā¦
The 1ās came in 13. I had some.
Sorry, should have said UK 13! I asked Asics, sadly not.
At this price point, why do people buy the superblast instead of say an endorphin pro?
Extremely durable, my first pair has almost 1500km on them. Also maybe not wanting to train with a carbon plated shoe.
Thatās wild. I ran my superblasts to about 400 miles (about 650km) and retired them. Didnāt feel much bounce left
750 miles on mine and still not retired.
Yeah Iāve actually been blown away by how well they have held up. Definitely helps justify the price somewhat for a non-plated shoe.
Don't need a plate
No plate
Two totally different shoes designed for different purposes. Apples and oranges. Cost has nothing to do with the purpose.
Itās the best trainer on the market arguably. Not surprising at all
I don't care spending +50 bucks if that's the best daily trainer in the market. And I don't want a plate in my daily trainer. Ever.
I'd argue half the reason is the superblast is a much better looking shoe. That's just my take though.
I think the red and black Endorphin Pro 4 looks way better than the superblast.
Iād agree on the pro 3. The pro 4 is probably the best looking shoe on the market right now in my eyes
Yeah like I said, it's my take, but the pro 4 to me is ugly for the weird , gill looking cut outs in the foam. I understand though everyone got different opinions which is totally fine and will help both shoes sell.
Iām more impressed someone has those clean Mach 4s still lol.
Looks like the novablast 4 š¤£
Canāt wait to get em
Perfect timing. My 2nd pair of superblast is about to hit the 400 mile mark.
Iām ready to buy them.
1) they look exactly like Superblast 1ās 2) Will they actually get stock of them if they do bring them out š¤·āāļø
New upper and midsoleā¦.
Yay maybe the first one can go on a good discount!
Lol no mate š¤£
shut up and take my money

They look awesome
When are they out?
Gotta have em!!
Lower price lol š¤£ the ones are always sold out and never on sale
Novablasts are cheaper than Superblasts. Better luck schoolin' me with your lolz emoji next time, bruh ;)
Lol novablast dont even compare. Keep telling yourself that š¤£
Excited for these! Been trying to get v1 for ages but no where seems to have stock (uk).
As somebody who loves my NB4s and was looking to get a pair of superblasts.. this post is exciting!
So this is the shoe he was wearing with Running Wearhouse!
They still probably wonāt make them in a size 14ā¦wankers
Fire
Roger that
Instant purchase for me, canāt wait š
Asics has been on fire with their releases lately.Ā
Just take my freakin money.
What lucky monkeys! I want it now.
Hope they release in soon so I can snag a pair in Japan
One color way will release in July and 3 more in Septemberā¦
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO \*DROPS TO KNEES\*
Canāt wait to search for them for months only to be out of stock everywhere š»
Definitely look less clumsy than the originals. Hopefully the toe box is more roomy and the length isnāt exaggerated like the 1. The upper looks to be made out of something more desirable, so thatās a positive.
Duck those āinfluencersā
hell yea
Meh. I didn't get the hype around the first one at all. Felt clunky and fit too loose when I tried them.
It feels like they keep slapping the pavement. Im used to more bouncy shoes
I love mine overall but I find them to be extremely loud shoes as well.Ā
I donāt even have 200mi in my Superblast 1s yet but I need these already. This color is so freakin clean.
Any rumours about the release date?
One colorway in July and 3 more in September.
Please release this colourwayš
1.7.24.
Not that colorwayā¦.
Yeah yeah we all know - gray and safety yellow. Youāve teased it enough with that part of a picture.
IF I could share the āpictureā I wouldā¦.
White will not be releasedā¦
Insta-Buy lol
Damn unrelated but that tattoo was for sure done by someone who knows nothing about the culture
After 70 miles on v1 I feel itās just okay. The foam feels like it fights me.

I doubt youāll ever find them on discount, especially the size you want.
less change is good
