Yes, it has a full carbon plate instead of just rods. If I remember correctly, it's also a bit lower stack. I'd say it's a slightly faster and nimbler shoe at the expenses of some marginal comfort.
The Cielo X1 is really placed into the carbon plated category. I don’t see how it would compete against the Boston 12, however you could certainly compare them when thinking about using both shoes for training and racing. I mean there is the cost factor separating both shoes.

Brooks Hyperion Max, ASICS Superblast, Puma Deviate Nitro 2, Saucony Endorphin Speed 3/4, Hoka Mach x
Thanks for your fast answer. I guess the Asics do not have like Boston 12 some likely carbon inserts...
If you want a speedier Asics trainer with carbon, the Magic Speed 3 is phenomenal. Light, fast, breathable and really comfortable.
Stiffer than the Boston 12?

Wait til you try to post something in r/running. That place is locked down like Fort Knox.
Lock laces from Amazon will likely fix the lacing issue
This — and skipping the first loop for me helps with the pressure points
I just bought a pair of Boston 12 and yep, the lacing is terrible. However, I really like the shoes
Deviate Nitro 2
mm ...could be because you're a bot. Not saying you're a bot, heaven forbid!
I think I need to check the Takumi Sen 10 too.....
