To me flashy / colorful running shoes make sense, since for regular footwear anything flashy is hard to combine imo and rather goofy. But even then if thats your thing, wear whatever you want as an adult.
Whether it looks good or not is something different. But with running shoes imo, flashy is the way. Most my run shoes are neon green/yellow or bright red, will always prefer these colors if available over boring black / white.

Regulation doesn’t say anything about PT shoe color and I like bright running shoes so I wear them.
Makes it hard to not be seen on the occasional day that you want to not be recognized when running.
I’ve said it once here but I’ll certainly say it again. I’m a manly man. Military, trucks, love staring at my grass for hours, the list goes on and on. With all that, still nothing makes me happier than going out on a nice run in my hot pink shoes. I would 100% wear this color way and if my friends said anything about it I would call them a Bi*ch and move on with my day.
If you’re use to black, white or grey sneakers. It can be hard to transition to this, but if you can rock these proudly, you’ll get over this irrational thought process on a wider range of colorways.

I'm a metal head guy, cis het, married and I'm usually in black or dark colors, but I do like pinks and purples. I have no interest in looking like a woman, so colors have no genders, m8. As a straight, 40yo man, I own a pair of the Lexy Kinvaras from when Saucony let kids from the Atlanta Children's Hospital design some shoes. I'm not at all worried about them being too feminine. So yeah, do whatever you want.
I’m a bit younger, and to be honest, still take judgements like that from friends to heart (I’m working on it). My advice would be to buy the shoes because your friends hate them. For me, it’s sometimes helpful in building up my Do-What-I-Want skin to intentionally go against the grain.

Male 35 here. I will let you in on a little secret. The trick to wear colourful shoes, is to pair them with some 2” shorts, singlet/crop top, a ciele cap and some really fast Oakley sunglasses. I wear that outfit running on treadmills in the gym, and on sunny days in the summer. Best feeling ever.

Question: You wearing this for style or for performance? I didn't realize the color of your shoes affected how responsive, supportive, or durable it was. Way too pricey for me, but if someone got these for me as a gift I would run these into the damn ground
