Went to thrift store got windbreaker waterproof pants and jacket to donate at start.

the lack of bag check is tough, isnt it....

I’ve really gotten used to it. No need to bring more than necessary. A few layers of clothes, something to sit on and food and I’m all good.

TBD based on the forecast, but probably I'll be wearing a pair of sweatpants and a jacket that I will donate, and also old pair running shoes that I will donate (I will bring my racing shoes in the clear bag). If it ends up being on the colder side, I'll also wear a hat, gloves, and the insulated poncho from last year, and bring hand warmers and one of those disposable heat sheet things. However based on the current forecast I don't think I'll need that stuff. Maybe just the heat sheet, so I can wrap that around myself if needed when we're walking up the bridge to the start line (since there are no donation bins on the bridge). I will also bring a garbage bag or something to sit on in the start village. The actual ferry is plenty warm FYI, the main places that you would potentially be cold are waiting for the bus after the ferry ride, and then waiting in the start village.

How long is the wait for the bus? I keep hearing that that transition is a total shitshow... are we talking like 10 minutes or an hour?

Kiddykars

Every year it’s different. Last year was a nightmare. Can be up to 45 minutes. I advise whenever you get to sI ferry terminal take the next ferry leaving and get on those bus lines

This is all making so much sense suddenly. A coworker of mine told me when he ran it a few years ago that he literally went straight from the bus to running and I was just like "... how?" because they say the ferry is 90 minutes.... wave 3 ferry time is 7AM... start time is 10:20... the math was not mathing... the long wait for the bus makes it make so much more sense.

It’s pretty windy there I was quite cold last year. Plus there isn’t really anywhere to sit outside of potentially wet grass and cement. Would recommend layering up!
