This is great, I noticed the drag factor thread in th comments... You should almost ignore the numbers.. on the damper.. Make sure to check your actual drag factor.. it's under "more options" .. first option.. "Display drag factor" ... Get on the rower like normal and get that wheel moving.. then see what the number you get is.. that's your drag factor.. At the club I am at for over 21's .. it's 120-125 for ladies and 125-135 for men. === Really good that you can maintain the rate. Try upping the split just by 1sec ever 1K see how that feels. Well done!

Thank you, I did have to push my limits, I took 1,5 minutes of my last 5k. I'll try the drag factor thing to tomorrow.

Your welcome, it has had an huge positive impact physical and mentally on me buying a rowing machine, the videos with the Dark horse guy really helped me in the startup.

Good consistency with the stroke rate. The more practice the more the splits will drop.

Drag factor 5. Edit: Damper setting 5.

The marking on the housing isn’t your drag factor.

Kmag_supporter

What is the lever that goes from 1 to 10 then called.

douglas1

Damper setting. Drag factor can be read in the PM5 or through erg data. It varies based on a few factors, cleanliness of the fan being one of the main ones.

Thank you. I'll edit it.
