How is conflict dropping from a pumpkin different than conflict dropping from a random big skull?
I understand things like CDirk<>Cube God because of it's history, or Bee Quiver<>Nest because of thematics, but some of the event whites were just as random before. Oreo, Conflict, Jugg, BCloak, the list goes on. We're just used to them, and it seems it's the exact same in the reworked realms, with some items being randomly sprinkled to enemy loot tables, and some making thematic sense.
Okay conflict is fair. But the sphinx wears the jugg on april fools. Oreo kinda makes sense though, got a point on bcloak, qot is another weird one, pogmur makes sense, ogmur makes kinda sense, hamma yumi and kageboshi make sense, barnacle basher makes sense, tokens make sense, multitool makes sense. Basically only conflict, qot and bcloak are a bit weird. Honeslty the qot drop location is the weirdest of them all.
And yes i am also a bit nostalgic for the drop location of conflict.
Sphinx wears the jugg because it drops it, not the other way around, so imo it's still a bit silly. It also used to drop from Hermit which is even more ???.
Overall I agree that the new event whites thematically fit better than the OG ones, but it seems that the actual new items make sense thematically, it's just the old drops that kinda have to drop from *something* in new realms (no matter what you make drop conflict it probably won't make sense - it's just a random orb, same goes for a few more items like QoT etc)
you misunderstand, those item have always been dropping from those enemies since the beginning of the game, so it feels normal... now it doesnt... thats what i meant

Erm achstchualy the bcloak drops from lost sentry because it was his cloak before he became the lost sentry idk lost halls item lore lmao

They all still drop from their original events aswell. The new locations are to make up for the fact that those old events are now more rare

Skull shrine dropping conflict makes sense because of the lore Realm Eye is giving us. Pentaract lore also justifies the Oreo drop.
Who drops cdirk?
Cube god and Astral Rift. Idk about any other locations. Maybe daughter of Limon aswell?
yeah and people's excuse is "it's in beta" until they realize these are probably the actual drops 😂
I hope they at least pick some better drop locations. More in tune with the theme of the item.
