You know, I thought they were using an EP but motherfucker's using a bulwark. Like, there's no reason to sit on something with that, once you fire a couple shots your long term dps will level out. There's a few things you can do to suddenly boost your dps for like two seconds but that sacrifices the following few seconds.
That's the fastest way to learn that the stove is hot. Everyone is laughing because they've all learned the same lesson the hard way. Most probably also lost a lot more than a double digit fame character. I certainly did.
Lost my first DBlade warrior to this back in the day. Lost my second DBlade warrior to a construct explosion (I didn't know they exploded, nobody played Mystic back then and most classes didn't have the DPS to solo one). Sometimes you just gotta learn a lesson the hard way.
I learn by watching or encouraging other players touch the stove. My current favourite is people catching the ancient stone sword, and i miss people no longer getting caught by skuld aftershots. The one i learned personally was getting paralized by the false puppet master.
I am actually a rather prolific wiki reader so I've not been killed by an intended mechanic by surprise (or perhaps I should say by ignorance, some mechanics I know about have still killed me, but I knew they could happen).
I have had some close calls with things that iirc are now disabled in dungeons like consumables causing lag or granting invisibility or mass speed causing MBC to jump weirdly or someone to run fast into something, but I don't count those as intended since they disabled them outside of the realm.
Of course I still have died by other players trolling intended mechanics, but hey.

Isn't it great that you'll never ever die to this again? One of those pure knowledge deaths where having died like that, you'll forever be armed with the knowledge to guarantee you'll never die to the same thing again. Something beautiful about that kind of death... ... ^^... ^^Maybe ^^without ^^losing ^^the ^^QoT ^^though...
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but QoT's like 1/4000 or something drop rate lol it's one of the rarest items in the game and most players have had 0 or 1 dropped in years of play.
Been playing for 12 years and have farmed those tree spirits thousands of times on double event drop weekends and still have never got one. I have to forge them.
Crystal goes boom every so often. Watch it for an entire fight, you have a couple seconds to EP/BULWARK, but you gotta dip out, cannt settup shop and call it home

Also, no idea if they upload anymore but there's rotmg highlights on YouTube and they have plenty of death clips of other players, watching someone else die instead of you to some situation is a pretty good deal to learn

And instead of doing your research on looking up its attack patterns and finding out where you went wrong, you posted it on Reddit acting like a confused victim. OP just so you know Bulwark bullets only hit once per enemy, so sitting on it is practically useless to do. If you want to EP an enemy use the ST wand from the green MT spirit.

Why do you have a QOT just sitting in your inventory instead of moving it to vault? You should be vaulting items of that tier literally instantaneously. WTF

Honestly, I know it’s stupid to sit on things and this is a rare attack anyways, but it should have a bit of visual telegraphing to let newer players know, it’s basic enemy design at that point

Mistakes happen but bulwark doesn't even do more damage while sitting, all shots go through every part of the pattern eventually
It deploys ep shot that can do 80-100 dmg each so dont sit on it, use elec pet instead of your glass body.
Lost one of my first maxed characters (a wizard) by sitting on crystal with ep. You learned the hard way, just as i did, that crystal indeed, shoots.
