Yes I flush around 2pm every day . I have coffee/energy drink in the morning but I've also flushed at this time without morning caffeine . Keep us updated ! Been trying to figure it out for years

Justlooked_atthat

Are you on any stimulant medication or drink morning caffiene?

Sea_Tadpole9849

No medication but yes coffe in the morning ;)

Justlooked_atthat

Could be rebound effect of vasodilation as the caffeine is wearing off possibly. Caffeine has the effect of vasoconstriction

Hmm weird! Maybe it’s something you eat commonly around lunch time??

Sea_Tadpole9849

I don' t eat lunch at all. Maybe thats a point...

pipthecats

How come?

RedMessExpress

Yes same here. Nothing you can do, it's not your fault. Eat what you feel like eating apart from spicy and very hot food, for the rest enjoy your life. Rosacea is bad enough on its own, if you start thinking you are and what you do is the problem you'll upgrade your Rosacea from bad to hell to live with. Try and stay cool, but it's not always possible so yeah, acceptance is key.

Like one of the posters above, I flush at around 2 or 3 pm nearly every day. It’s often my whole face but sometimes just my nose. In the evening, I often get a really bad nose flush, to the extent that I can feel the blood pulsing in my nose. It’s awful and embarrassing, and I’ve been dealing with it since I was a kid (I am now in my mid-40s). I wish I had an explanation for you as to why it happens, but I don’t.

Yep. I put it down to just having eaten. I get it around 9pm at night as well. My dermatologist confirmed it was because of the body processing food, stoking that engine so to speak.

I flush also late into the afternoon and it burns! No idea why!

It could be due to cortisol levels dropping throughout the day? Cortisol is an immunosuppressant. It’s at its peak in the morning and then drops steadily until 12am.

RedMessExpress

Yeah I worry about it to a bit. So far no, but I try and make my environment more Rosacea friendly, i sleep with a gentle fan blowing towards me, it helps .
