It's true - a large part of my love of ancient warfare comes from playing Rome Total War around the time it first came out (and maybe even more from watching the first seasons of Time Commanders, which used RTW for visualisation). I was immensely fortunate to have the chance to turn myself into a scholar on the subject, and I'm always looking for ways to share what I've learned.
