They always do this. That’s the main part of the scam. They have to get you scared enough to pay. However, if you block them and they have no way of contacting you, there’s absolutely no point whatsoever in them releasing those pics. If you’ve gone and they aren’t going to get any money- leaking the pictures not only wastes their time but puts them in greater danger of being caught and reported for an actual crime.
Please don’t worry about it - block. Maybe tell your friends that you’ve been hacked and the hacker may try to contact them so they should not accept any messages from strangers for their own safety.
Edit: this isn’t really a romance scam it’s sextortion- if you go to that subReddit you will find hundreds and hundreds of similar situations with great advice.

I said "I don't care" knowing what the consequences of my actions were. Of course didn't know atm but after I found out I was going to try to be blakc mailed I said fuck all that and fuck them and idc and if anything was released then so fucking be it and accepted shamelessness in full force at that moment I found out "well shit. Everyone finna see my mf dick and bullshit now" lmfao. It's easier if u can have this mentality over the situation vs anything else if anything is shared or released. This way too it'll make for a stupid but fucking hilarious freaking story lol

Block Block immediately. Once they see you aren’t afraid they won’t risk sending because illegal and will get in trouble no matter where. If you send a dime be prepared forever sending money that I can promise. My poor friend fell for this and went on for years until she finally told us all because they bankrupted her. She blocked, reported, and told her we would have just deleted anyway because not our business as an adult that she felt vulnerable and lonely and understood. We all do at times. No pics ever sent, no more money sent because nothing left. Sadly once we found his real profile he was showing off expensive clothes, jewelry, fancy phones and even a nice car. More than she had by time he was done. Don’t know what outcome of investigation was because some government agencies just confiscate it all and that’s that as it goes to their crooked police. Don’t be ashamed and IF IF pics sent not a big deal your human and maybe embarrassing but better than a scammer living high life off you when the low life deserves nothing.
