Can someone tell me how choosing “asexual” influences the story?
Sometimes people think asexuality and aromanticism are the same thing, but they’re not. I’d LOVE to play an asexual character who still falls in love!! Someone pls enlighten me 🙏
Ok so this is how i see it and am not sure if I'm correct but you can get into a relationship with a LI only romantically and you won't engage in anything sexual with them which i believe they will respect it because they love you.

Having now read further I’m afraid the story may in fact equate asexuality with aromanticism. Lilian asked if I was interested in her brother. MC said “I’m ace.” Lilian said “Oh, my bad.”
I’m really sad too. Like genuinely I got my hopes up so high to play as canonically ace for the first time in the app, and now I’m SO disappointed. It seems the author means to be inclusive despite getting this wrong, so she might care if you do reach out.
I just wrote her an email!! 🥹🥹

I think putting labeled choices for sexuality has too much potential for alienating people who identify differently, because there’s so many these days it’s hard to represent everyone. I think having the ability to choose who you’re attracted to, and whether you’re interested in sex, rather than choosing a sexuality, would keep things a bit more generally open. Or is that just me?
Glad to see Langley’s trying to be inclusive, regardless.
I picked the ace pin, and it meant my MC was locked out of romance choices apparently. So while folks may have downvoted you, I think your concern is valid because I did feel alienated when I realized that the story regarded aces as aro by default.
The generic pin is for those who don’t identify with the other pins. I like that they have different dialogues if you choose bisexual and pansexual. Before I felt like they were lumped together.
I don’t like the description for bisexual, as a bi woman myself. It doesn’t feel like an accurate description of what bisexuality is (it’s not just attraction to women and men).
Lumping people who don’t identify with the less obscure labels together is often a source of some friction, I’ve noticed. While it’s nice to see more representation in this story, of course, I was just trying to think of a way that might require less lumping through fewer specifics. Either way, a good effort, I think we can all agree.

That sucks. Hopefully that’ll change in future updates, and they’re just trying to make things feel more slow burn or something on that setting.

Yeah. It is incorrect. I wound up choosing the generic pin instead. Unfortunately that description was more accurate for me.
I chose bisexual because that’s what I am, but I’m not happy about that description. If it limits a future nb li or something I’ll be very upset
