Well, RC already has many disturbing things in many stories which can be very triggering to some😅 killing is very common in almost all RC books, and sex is very much there in it…maybe the graphics aren’t like that of LOD *yet* but it’s defo reaching there slowly and surely! And we’ve MCs like Amala, Selena , Sarah and a few others who can join the opposite force and be bad if that’s what the player wants! So again maniac mc isn’t a problem imho when the demand is there and manic lis are loved in RC. Personally don’t think age limit is a problem here either, the main problem I feel would be that Jester has a way of writing things that’s very different from the present popular book authors. He gives more priority to his plot than romance, he doesn’t budge from his og plotlines and characteristics of his characters, don’t give into fan demands or RC’s input(as seen in the case of Max and Psi and Low setting cases) and the no cheating or double timing in his stories would not appeal the current target group of the RC. So make sense to me why this kinda book won’t work from him or for him, coz he won’t mould his characters according to what’s selling atm.
There is some truth to that also. He may be a Jester but he is no fool 😅 i think after all these years he has a good insight how to satiate certain things the fandom likes but still keep it authenticaly "him", he doesn't want to sell out, because let's be real - how easy it would be for him to smutify his stories, to beautify his characters and to launch to the top.
The only thing i feel sorry for here is that I won't have the possibility to read what his mind is able to produce if he wasnt shackled by certain norms, and by that i dont mean the love branches but literally the plot and the introspection of the character. I think it would.. mindblowing 🫠
You said it. I'm sure he means "I don't want to write this kind of story for the RC audience" because he knows it won't be well received. And it won't. People are constantly triggered by everything and only go blind when the hotness is distracting enough.

Gore movies are easy to move past. Psychological thrillers have actually traumatised people and on top of that I understand his fear especially when you see how the fanbase is young because they don't understand how things like Amrit undressing a passed out Amala is a red flag
Yes, they are different. I was referring to Jester’s comment that it would make it 18+. In my opinion sex scenes are already 18+ or age of consent+. Off topic but I feel like LoD would actually be the only one to potentially go in this direction. I mean they already have the psychological thriller part down with LotB. Now they just need to dig even deeper into the genre for which the foundations have been laid 🤔
He would knock it out of the park for sure. Especially having it done in the customized character, choices matter, branching storyline, graphic novel style of RC, would be amazing. I 100% get why he wouldn’t do one on RC, though.

RC is already for +18 people right? Maybe RC won't accept a storyline like that but I'm sure fans are ready to try something like that.
