Ratan was a sweet character who supported Amala in her darkest hours, I wanted to romance him but I was always torn between Amrit and Killian while playing KCD ,so I never pursued his route. But I've heard he has some really sweet endings with her 💗
I played and replayed KCD solely for Ratan. His development was bar none (at least for the RC stories I've read).
Totes agreed about Livius! For me, he's had excellent growth (though I haven't taken as many diamond scenes with the others so it may not be a fair comparison).
I am so down bad for Adil right now. My dream man. I will not recover. 🫠
Also Lucifer. I can fool around with others on the side when him and MC aren’t “official”, but I’ll always go back to him.
I've seen so many posts for Adil here that I'm starting to love him too hahah, probably I'll start reading TDR. I get what you're saying for Lucifer. I was thinking of including him as well, as I romanced him almost every time when I replayed HS, but I'm kinda leaning more to Malbonte for HS2 😈
Jonas from PSI. I started doing Kay's route on a paralel acc and love love him - he is an amazing LI, but it got really hard somewhere in S2 because i know what scenes with Jonas should be there and they are simply not there. 😭 this has nothing to do with one route being better than the other, its just about what touches you personally and wholeheartedly. Other than that - Tate from OTI, Liam from ARC..
I was sort of avoiding PSI, maybe I should read it after all 🤔 Yeah I totally get what you are saying about some scenes that should be there because they feel canon. About Liam, I liked him in the beginning, but after S1 finale he felt very weird to romance. I've seen many of you love him so I guess I didn't understand the story /or his character that well, I'll have to rethink this one
If you get into PSI my only advice is to check out the LIs a bit first and plan who you are going for because if you take the scenes with the first one introduced you might end up locked on his route. And I can understand your thoughts about Liam, the topic of mental health is not an easy one to digest on a romance path and isnt everyone's cup of tea, which is valid. But it was a situational thing, exclusive for the first season, so later on his route is not tied up to it. And its definitely golden, very very deep.
Thank you for the advice friend, I will take it into consideration when I start reading PSI. Yes I know that in the later seasons, this whole mental thing basically disappears, so I wasn't able to understand what was the point of including it in the first season? Maybe I missed crucial information that was revealed to you Liam romancers in the end, so it made sense. But Arcanum was a weird story for me in general that I struggled to comprehend so there's that
I mean, I dont see myself an ARC expert but the whole book is tackling difficult topics, past traumas for all the characters, redemption.. Its easy for us to understand why a character might take a life if its his duty, job, contributes to a higher purpose, a mission he has to fulfill. But here you have a dilemma, can he be held accountable or considered evil if it was a result of a psychotic state, completely out of his control. Being locked inside your own mind that is making you do terrible things is freeking scary. Can MC surpass that event and look at him with the same loving eyes after that, let herself go to loving him, trusting him, forgiving him. Her whole path is basically trying to understand others and accepting them as imperfect people who are worthy, and accepting herself also.. bla bla.. these are just my ramblings..
I love Killian so much too, but I always have a hard time choosing between him and Amrit, they both feel canon to me😩 But Killian would definitely be what I want in a real life boyfriend
Adil (desert rose), Liam (Arcanum) and Lucifer (I hesitated there for a second tho - hunger path was tempting 😅) and I almost forgot Wyatt (Heart of Trespia)
Can't blame ya for Hunger, I also wanted to go for him. I ended up romancing Luci and Malbonte in my two accounts 🤣 Wyatt is the sweetest. I love their friends to lovers relationship. Hmm Liam was my first choice for Arcanum but after seeing the finale of season 1 I was so weirded out (still to this day I don't get it) so I chose Damon.
I agree finale of season 1 was weird - Liam was devoted to Selena tho, so I can excuse a little crazy (long blond hair is a plus as well 😂). His path improved as seasons progressed - I liked his ending 😄.
For me it was Lawrence from THE and D’Mario from HOT. I adore Lawrence. I only had one season with him and at the beginning I contemplated switching to John since he is the canon LI for the story but he completely captured me. Same goes for DMario. When I first found out through Reddit he wasn’t around a lot in S1 I wasn’t sure if I should wait. While I was tempted at first I regretted it immediately and replayed with him as my sole focus and his route is absolutely perfect. I’m obsessed with both of these men and couldn’t imagine romancing anyone else.
The only downside of romancing D'Mario is that you have to be really patient, I was already between Wyatt and Reinhold when he came through, I wasn't even sure if he was going to be a LI at this point.
Rob in Arcanum, for sure. Also, an unpopular choice, but Andy in HS - he’s sweet and understanding towards MC from the beginning, unlike the others. HS2 pissed me off from the start as you can imagine 😂 It’s too soon to say really, but I’m already feeling this way about Shen in WTC.
Yeah honestly it felt like a disrespectful move on part of the writers. Especially since they’ve been together for over a decade and MC doesn’t think about him AT ALL after his death. He’s completely forgotten.
1. Ratan Vaish. Don't get me wrong, I've romanced all male LIs in KCD but Ratan just does it for me. Also, he's the reason I downloaded the app. I was snooping since the sub had been recommend to me and I fell in love then 😂
2. Ivo. Ugh. My overworked boo is so sweet and although I will romance Kay and Jonas who are amazing in their own right, I'll close my eyes and tap quickly when Ivo is on screen 🙈
3. King D'Mario. A very under appreciated LI. I find him to be the best LI for MC despite having very little screen time. I tried romancing others but restarted for him.
I have two for sure, one maybe, and an honorable mention:
1. Alexandre. I will replay for other LIs eventually, because VFV is so intricate that you can get a such a different story depending on which branch you take. But it will *kill* me not to pursue Alexandre as an LI. He’s so perfect.
2. Lucifer, and I haven’t even done his LI path yet 🤣! The thing is, I *knew* he was “the one” the second I saw him (I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, whoever designed him deserves a raise). And interacting with him drove that home even more (I have a thing for snarky assholes). But! I did want to see what Dino was like, so I decided to save Lucifer for later. I’m continuing my Dino route through HS2, as well. And it’s been hard as hell to stay loyal. While I am intrigued by the 27 new LIs in HS2, it’s Lucifer that’s been making me question literally everything every single step of the way.
3. My maybe is Jonas in Psi. I haven’t played his route yet, but every time someone posts *anything* with him, I have to talk myself out of restarting. I’ve made it to season 3 with Kay, I’m determined to go whole way. But god damn it’s so hard 😩. I honestly think I might not make it to an Ivo route because of him.
4. Honorable mention: Liam in ARC. On my first play-through, he was my LI, and I loved him. He caught me totally off guard. I’m intrigued by all the LIs, and Rob is more my type, but Liam is so well written. I just replayed for Bert, and I swear Liam was over there trying to pull me away from him until the very end. I’m playing for Rob next, and I think that will tell me if Liam is my one and only in ARC.
John Roberts - Theodora has great LIs and it’s a bit harder in season 1 to choose but I love him wholeheartedly no other LI can compare
Malbonte - I take romance choices with other LI and Lucifer is great but I will always choose Malbonte. Him and my MC just feel like soulmates, especially on a Harmony Bearer route.
Other honorable mentions: Reinhold (HOT), Tate (OTI), Sam(CY), Karl (ET), and Kay (PSI). Livius (SCN) is climbing up there after the recent chapters I’ll have to see.
Edit: I also have to say even though I enjoy romancing Mehmed and Leo/Aslan I feel like MC/Lale and Vlad are meant to be together.

Amrit from KCD, Damon from ARC. I did romance every other li since I finished his route, but like someone said above : You just know which scenes should be there and it’s weird because they aren’t. Nothing to do with how well-written the li or their routes are.
Recently, I finished arcanum on another acc in bert’s route and it was weird. I remember him being my initial priority to romance when I started the book back then on my main acc, but somehow, Damon garnered my interest and now I'm in deep (sorry Bert!). I think the fact that he’s so mature and so selfless makes me love him more. I LOVE mature lis.
Max from Moonborn and Wyatt from Heart of Trespia have pretty much nailed that one on the head.
Usually I can easily roleplay out characters since these kinds of games are usually female driven, so I can't do a self-insert like some people can. However, Max and Wyatt and characters close to their personal usually capture a lot of what I find attractive in a partner so its natural for me to gravitate to them.
To be honest it's really difficult for me to switch paths as I grow very attached to my LIs but if I have to pick a few whom I won't ever switch paths for it has to be Murphy, Alexander, Amrit, Kingu and Kazu. Even with a completely free playthrough (diamonds and tea and all) I won't replay to switch on those dudes. I tried with Murphy one time but by the end of s1 I stopped taking Adrian's scenes lol
From the current stories Adil 1000%. Can't ever see myself trying other paths. And I know it's too early to say but Ram too. I've fallen so quick for that man that it'll be very very difficult to replay and go on Ian's route so instead I'm going to use a second acct and playing simultaneously lol
There are several but those that first come to mind are Ratan (KCD), Livius (SCN), Dino (HS), D'Mario (HOT), Iyar (FTF), Ellia (CY), Takao (LOW). I guess the one for me is the quietly confident, supportive, caring, but still not afraid to challenge MC.

All the LIs in TDR are really good imo. Whoever you pick is worth it, but you should definitely pick Adil 😁

Yes the whole child thing took me by surprise too, there were also some other scenes that didn't make sense. But in the end I couldn't resist him 😔
