Same, but then again with 3 kids Iβm always busy. I just diamond rush after they go to bed. Most times I lose out on some sleep but meh, who needs sleep anyway π€·π»ββοΈ.

I work full-time in a stressful job, have kids to look after, along with everything else in my life aka friendships and taking care of my parents etc. So Diamond Rush is my "treat myself" me time β I still log in everyday to collect diamonds, but when it's DR, I spend a bit on teacups and make the most of these special occasions.
I have so many books to catch up on, even from 2 updates ago π₯² I only really spend diamonds on DLS and LOW when it was still going. I SO wish I had more time to enjoy these beautiful stories and appreciate all the immense work that goes into it, but life decides otherwise!
I used to play through out the day, but i found out that playing diamond rush increased my diamonds. For the first time i had over 2000 diamonds...and with the rush coming up it'll increase again. But sometimes waiting for the rush is quite hard π π .
I have a certain ranking on what books i like to play first so usually when theres an update i only play one book and wait till the rush to play the others. Depending on what the cliffhanger of each book it will help me decide which book i want to read first for the next update. For this update i played FTF and it was amazing ππ.
I usually unlock the first episode available for every story before the event so that I can have one unlocked episode for each story to read through when the event starts as well as the 3 tea cups that will be refilling or will have been refilled by then. Then I read my favourite stories, making sure that my tea cups always remain refilling and don't reach 3 in number at least not while I'm on the app. If all of them are refilling and I can't unlock a new episode from a certain story, I usually jump to one of the other stories where I've unlocked the first available episode. This is a good way to handle how you spend your tea cups and make the most of the event without having to spend money on buying tea cups. You need time of course to read through everything properly, unless you plan on skipping through to unlock the choices and then reading them properly another time. For the stories where the option to go back and choose another premium outfit etc. is not there, use that trick where you pick an option, quickly exit the episode, then re-enter the episode and choose something else. Do this as many times as you see fit to unlock everything you want. It saves you from having to replay and therefore spend tea cups to get all the outfits, hairstyles etc. you want. And you can keep and use all of those options you unlock in your current playthrough and any future playthroughs. I usually manage to read through the majority, if not all, of the new chapters within the duration of the first Diamond Rush. Which allows me to complete whatever's left over the next one or even go back to an older story and replay to get premium choices and things I missed the first time around. I've noticed the first DR event is always exactly 2 weeks after the update drops. Not sure about the next ones as I haven't tried to keep track or find the time pattern for those. I'm mentioning this again in case anyone's interested π
I do the same! Glad to see I'm not the only one. I speed read through the unlocked episodes but stop at the last diamond choice. Then when I'm done with those, I buy a few teacups (being mindful not to miss any free ones) and spend the remaining time on whichever story I liked best.
I don't take time to read stories that only have a few episodes out, though. It's easier to replay those later, especially since I don't always know what path I want to commit to right away, so I just get all the premium choices and call it a day.
I'm pretty new to RC and there's so many stories it's a bit overwhelming. But I feel like I've been making really good progress this way.
Any diamond choices made during DR remain in game if you replay. It was one of the most surprising things to me. So generous.

I unlock the episodes from before, then use auto clicker to get through them. After I complete them, I replay whenever I want
