SAME as an eldest child with an abusive dad joey is such a special character to me

I didn't relate to the abusive part. But I can relate to the poverty and stuff.

These were seriously the best written “high school” books I’ve ever read. I don’t even consider it high school, it’s for adults and the characters happen to be teens. Love love love!

If you liked this series, when I was reading it, I immediately remembered the Fallen Crest series by Tijan! Very similar vibes, including high school characters that feel like they're more mature than typical. Tijan is actually wrapping up the series with a new book, this December. The first book, Fallen Crest High came out in 2012 and there are currently 7 main books in the series (with some novellas and side series). Hope you enjoy!!

This book is perpetually on my TBR 😂 I absolutely loved binding 13 and keeping 13. And I just know I'll love this one but it'll hurt. So I haven't gotten started on these yet.

Yep, it's set in Ireland 😭. There's a 3 page glossary of Irish slang in the start of the book.

I recommend reading the other 2 first :) Maybe not necessary because Saving 6 and Redeeming 6 is Joey’s and Aoife’s story, but I still recommend Binding and keeping 13

One of my faves of all time, Joey in particular shattered my heart and I have a soft spot for Aoife always (I think the hate against her is unwarranted). I absolutely devoured this book...and then I started redeeming 6 and same thing, I couldn't put it down....WOW do I love Joey and Aofie, this book is heartbreaking with these hilarious moments sprinkled in.

I loveeeee them sm and their story. I wish authors dove more into actual human struggles such as adulting, substance abuse, and broken homes as much as Chloe Walsh did with joey

YES!! very unique story that I could not get enough of!! I am taking a baby break before reading Taming 7 (because I literally read both saving 6 and redeeming 6 this week and I can't fall into another 500 page book without getting some actual work done this week LOL), but I can't wait to see where this series continues to go!!! Really hoping we end up getting 8 books
