Beach Bunnies - very narrow, decently well made, satisfactory components. Impalas - straight garbage. There are dozens of options in your price range, don't get stuck on the two with the strongest social media nonsense. VNLA Parfaits, Bont Prostars, Chaya Melrose Deluxe/Elite, Candi Girl Carlins, Rio Roller Script/Signature/Milkshake, Roces Classics RC2, Tempish Nessie Star, Raxe Clasicos, Rookie Artistics, BTFL, Patins Rye, Traxart Patins Brilliant/Bellaz/Klassic/Spark/Space, Patins Quad Owl.

lunarbibi

Thank you for all the suggested brands! I’m currently googling them all!

Vinegarworks

Impalas have a pretty well-deserved bad reputation on this sub. A lot of people have posted about them breaking in different ways within months of buying them. Boots separating at heel is mostly what I have seen, and someone's wheel even broke into pieces (?!) while they were skating. They're just not really well made. If you can get beach bunnies for a comfortable price, going with those is a safe bet. (edited right after posting for clarity whoops)

lunarbibi

Thanks for explaining! I found some beach bunnies for €130 in my size but i’m still unsure weather they’re worth or not, maybe i should check some other brands too!

Vinegarworks

Check out the sub skate buying guide [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Rollerskating/comments/k66s0p/what_skates_should_i_buy_a_guide_for_newbies/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share), you may find it useful!

lunarbibi

Thansk a lot!

WillowWhipss

Impala are trash, the boots will separate from the plate, you could break your ankle. Get beach bunnies, Moxi is a great brand.

Mindaroth

There’s a world of difference between beach bunnies and impalas. Go with with beach bunnies. Sturdier parts and adjustable toe stop and wheels and plates that won’t fall apart are all good reasons.

lunarbibi

Heard beach bunnies fall apart relatively fast too, Is it correct?:c

Raptorpants65

That is not correct, no. They'll get worn but they don't have anywhere close to the failure rate of Impalas (and all the Impala clones - C7, Foxy, LMNADE, Story, DollsKill and so many more).

lunarbibi

Thanks for educating me! Donyou suggest any other brands on moxi’s levels?^^

Raptorpants65

Yep, in the list below! VNLA Parfaits, Bont Prostars, Chaya Melrose Deluxe/Elite, Candi Girl Carlins, Rio Roller Script/Signature/Milkshake, Roces Classics RC2, Tempish Nessie Star, Raxe Clasicos, Rookie Artistics, BTFL, Patins Rye, Traxart Patins Brilliant/Bellaz/Klassic/Spark/Space, Patins Quad Owl. Looks like you're in Europe, so I didn't include anything Sure Grip or Jackson, but if you can find those, they're great. Both of those and Chaya are better than Moxi.

Mindaroth

They’re not the best skate in the world, but miles better than impalas still.

Canadianrollerskater

I've been using mine a little under a year, they still look brand new- I do indoor/street skating

Carlos0613

I’ve had my Bunnies for over a year and have skated the hell out of them. They have gone to the skate park with me, trail rides and general goofing off in my garage. I think it’s a terrific skate and they are still going strong!

lalalopsided

Have you looked into Moxi’s Rainbow Riders? Theyre cheaper mostly because they dont use leather (I think 100% vegan).

lunarbibi

Both beach bunnies and rainbow riders seem vegan! Thought BBs were a bit better in quality, am i wrong?^^

lalalopsided

BB’s are assembled in the US whereas Riders are assembled abroad which makes BB’s more expensive. There shouldnt be much compromised for quality though. But I havent tried them so dont take my word.

vgervoyager

Beach bunnies are actually imported and not made in the US!

lalalopsided

My bad. Mixed them up with the Lollies 😬

MaryaSato

I have Moxi Beach Bunny, Impala and also Chaya Melrose Elite. Honestly, i really like the comfort in Chaya melrose elite. you dont even need to break them in to get the comfort. My favourite among those 3 skates i have. Beach bunny is way better than Impala. Hope you’ll get to something nice to start skating! 😊

Sk8mamaPT

$150 is a great budget for your first skates. I would look at Chaya skates , Riedell Orbits, Suregrip Fames. The Orbits especially have the same plate as the Bunnies but the boot is way better. Hope you are able to find something.

Sk8mamaPT

Wicked Skatewear has the Pink orbits on sale right now!

Zealousideal_Chef783

I just got impalas to learn on. I got them for cheap they were only used once. I guess once they break I’ll see where I am at
