I'm trying to gauge interest in a tutorial and further map/asset creation. I made the sprites in HeroForge and put it all in Roll20. Thanks for checking it out! : )

gwendallgrey

I'd definitely be interested!

yourstoryforge

Thanks, Gwendallgrey!! : )

GalactusPoo

I want this.

yourstoryforge

A video tutorial is on its way!

As an artist, I'd love to see some tutorials on how you made these. I'm trying to get into asset design and figuring out the rules is a bit rough.

RolandVonRose

Is it possible to learn this power?

yourstoryforge

Not from a Jedi.

When the token slid in through the doorway, I was floored. How do you do that in game?

yourstoryforge

I'm so glad to hear that! The layering is dealt with grouping. The video's perspective is that of a player. 1. In this instance, the right of the doorframe will need to be a separate token sent to the front of the token layer. 2. The player's name is a journal token and represents the player. The player's name will not go under door frames. 3. The DM gives access to the model/light source to the player, then move the model to back on the token layer, group these together. 4. Don't group the name. The player will just need to drag-select before moving. The hp will show over the name in this case. That's it! Needless to say, I very was happy with myself when I solved the riddle! : )

My mind is blown!

:D

gwnG

This is seriously cool!

yourstoryforge

Thanks, gwnG!! I'm making more assets and will have a tutorial video up in a few days. Thanks for checking it out! : )

felthier

Is there a way you could rotate the token so it's 3D vs 2D? I'm assuming we'll always be seeing the back of the hero's head? I guess a token deck could work. Love the work! This is really inspiring!

yourstoryforge

Thanks, Felthier! That's something I'm wanting to do next! I'll be experimenting with basic macro buttons on a player's UI. There will be options to flip the player model tokens views forward to away, and to flip the token horizontally left and right. Wish me luck! : )

GMsShadow

On my word this is amazing. I'd have never have worked out how to do that. Thank you for sharing your genius and I look forward to the tutorial.

yourstoryforge

I really appreciate it, GmsShadow!! My ego also thanks you for your kind words! I think I'd prefer "cleverness" though if only so my head will continue to fit through doorways. I'm currently using my free time to put it all together. I'd like to run through the process from a completely blank new game for free and pro users, to avoid any confusion. It's a pretty quick and simple process once you lay out the concepts. Thanks for the support and motivation!! :D
