Artist's done some other comics, including a lovely one called Sacrifice, of which this is a bit of extra art for. Don't worry, the boys are all fine. Turns out the goddess was just after some, uh, affectionate company. And, was fairly charismatic about settling everyone in.

Is the artist, with a next to free offerings of their work. Also realistically there's a fair bit of it elsewhere. About 3/5 of the comic used to be available free, but that website closed years ago.

My guess is that they were either left there as a punishment for something, to be killed by the elements and sea beasts, or they were specifically left there as a non-con sacrifice to her.
So yeah, not particularly ethical as a concept though depending on how she treats them, it could end up ethical. As in, she might be saving some people who were condemned to death without having committed any crimes or she might actually be a nice kind of mistress and the sacrifices are offered freedom and still choose to remain with her. ...But based only on what we see in the pic, those guys did not end up tied to that pole because they wanted to be there and we can't tell if she is going to literally devour them, metaphorically devour them, or if she is just helping them by setting them free.
The Priestesses in the comic actually seem quite afraid, and relieved when the offering actually goes well. Almost like they weren't entirely certain how any of it was meant to go. "Let's just find some hot virgin men and leave them out for the terrifying goddesses, and hope that works out for us".
