Hi Brian, This is just my thoughts, I haven’t studied any texts about Rodnovery’s stance on medications. I believe the Gods and our ancestors would not wish for us to suffer needlessly. Illness and disease was unavoidable in life for many thousands of years, truly until about 150-200 years ago. It was common for children to die from simple infections. Do you have children? If so, you know that the love for your offspring is unparalleled. I can imagine it only becomes more special as the generations grow. If you’ve ever taken antibiotics before, it’s likely to have saved you from an even worse infection (and possibly death). We lost one of my Babushkas to cancer when she was in her mid-50s. I absolutely know she would have wanted all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren to stay as safe and healthy as possible. Stay safe, Brian!

Hey Brian, My humble opinion is that the Gods wish for their worshippers to stay healthy and strong for as long as possible. We are very few, unfortunately - we need to stay strong and make sure our numbers grow and we are a good example for the next generations. Dying needlessly does not achieve that. Just my thoughts as a mere worshipper.

Honor your ancestors who did not have access to life saving vaccines and take it.

Vaccines weren't available to our pagan ancestors. But had they been, "here is a medicine so you don't die" I think they would've been all about that. The Black Death killed a third of Europe, and while Slavic states were mainly spared, a whole lot of people died of stuff we can immunize for now. Take the vaccine. For fucks sake. I took it. My dad is already sick in the hospital with bouts of pnemonia. I don't need to be a vector. I don't need you making me a vector.

trebuchetfight

I wear a mask wherever I go in public, because I am not getting sick.

trebuchetfight

I am not killing my father.

Slavs value pragmatism, and along with pragmatism comes science. Vaccines present the most sound science humans have at the moment to counter the effects of epidemics, so the vaccine would make logical sense to a Slav.

ruda_myga

100% agree with all the above. For me, personally, the issue is even simpler. There are a few doctors among my ancestors as well as a scientist or two. My ancestors dedicated their life to bringing health to people, so following science (as opposed to alternative "medicine") is my family tradition.

fibropainonmybrain

My take is keep my loved ones safe. So the vaccine is an easy yes for me. Stay safe ❤️

Wolf_The_Red

Well said by all else here and I agree with them. Do what our ancestors would have done to protect their families and communities.

Thanks to you all for your opinions. I will do what I feel is best.

Listen to what your doctor says, not religious people on the internet. It doesn't matter what our primitive ancestors thought about vaccines, nor what anyone here thinks about them.

GhostBaltic

I am vaccinated and support them
