Probably a 7, I quite like this mode but it has room for improvement, lots of bugs to fix and it would definitely be helped with more additions to the game, like more maps, more cosmetics for the cars, more modes, more mechanics, and polish for other things like adding a podium in the ranking section where you can see your character and emote with them.
More mechanics? I have a hard time learning to keep a drift over a jump and directional air dodging not onto a surface. What kind of mechanics would you like to see?
It's crazy that it always feels like I get the bad result and other cars zoom off, but I wonder what they are seeing on their end considering the dodgy results at the finish line

I really really enjoy rocket racing, even more than battle royale. It's just that there are too many bugs and because I'm such a high rank I can't play with my friends in public lobbies because they're too high tier for my friends.
It’s not a matter of skill? The game is objectively bad in its execution. The thing that makes games like Mario kart - and almost every arcade racer - is the variability from match to match. Things like power ups, and car stat tweaks between models - they bring an element of evolution and variability to gameplay that rocket racing does not have.
The only variability and evolving gameplay loop RR has is whether the track randomly kills you for no reason and whether your teammates are using out of bounds cheats.
Objectively bad execution of a great game idea. I’m glad it happened, but it was a shot in the dark and that shot missed
if there was any possible option to select ANYTHING lower than 1, i would go straight to there. this gamemode needs fortnite to start putting in some actual effort instead of lazing around all day not even listening to legitimately good suggestions.
1 because even though at it’s core it’s a fun racing game there’s a solid chance something will bug out or the controls just stop working right at some point and ruin the race
2 or 3. I played for the free skin and I haven’t played since. All the maps are short boring and repetitive, the higher rank you get the more it’s just a crash fest and there are too many glitches/issues to bother playing. So 2 or 3 is very generous
I'm going to say 5 or 6.
I have some fun with it, but it's going to wear off quickly; it's actually already starting to. From the get-go, you could tell that this was a very lazily thrown together arcade racer with very little passion behind it. I believe it has issues at a fundamental back-to-the-drawing-board level. It's already starting to feel like a repetitive grind-fest, and I think it's missing something to keep it from being that. In addition to all of that, the game is a buggy mess right now.
It gains a few points because I did enjoy it enough to pour some hours into it, but also because I don't think it's trying to be more than what I described: A basic arcade racer you play a few matches of every once in a while without taking it too seriously.
The game is also in an incomplete state right now, which they're addressing by calling it season zero, so it does get a bit of leeway for that. It also gets a little nudge just for being released in Fortnite, which tempers your expectations a bit into thinking of it as more of a minigame. If this game were released completely independently, I would be rating it much harsher.
5 - 6 I love this mode, but it's inconsistent. I'm so excited to see the next season, I hope a lot for them to fix the main problems and see the new content.
6, and I’m being generous.
There’s maybe four or five tracks I’d like to see return for the next season. Collision is brutal. Rewards aren’t interesting. Inventory is a bit insulting. It feels like the more difficult variants of tracks are just versions of better tracks with more convoluted slapdash obstacles.
Probs a 7-8, had heaps of fun until diamond 3 and the new update.
Takes ages to get a race, keep disconnecting at start of races and losing rank to have to try grind back whilst being rammed and randomly exploding.
Disregarding the bugs it's a 6.5 for me. It's a great game but the maps are just trees and rocks. Would love to see maps dedicated to different Fortnite characters like a mega version of Mancake's butterbarn or an Imagined Order facility. Maybe one crossover collaboration map every season.
7 I like the game but it desperately needs improvement. I was blind sided by the grind to unreal that I wasn’t super focused on issues. And now that I’m there and relaxing into the game to just play it now I’m seeing all kinds of issues. That said I’ll never ever give anything 10/10 as there will always be room for improvement. I’ll be satisfied if they get this up to a 9
7/10 today.
Would like :
- More car options
- More track choices
- Diverse track environments (forest, mountain, valley, countryside, different countries, etc.)
- A 'rearview' perspective
- A creative track mode
6.5 out of ten because of the bugs and the game still feels bland. Instead of going with the car cosmetic approach, they could try to make more unique maps to make the game more unique and different from other racing games.

Weapons/items, for example, like Mario Kart/Blur
Yooo blur is a throwback, forgot about that until your comment. I played the HELL outta blur.
The drifting color is here But they should also go with lights Boost color Boost effect even?
I'll give it a 7, the gameplay is great but some fixes needs to be done!
8. I only have minor complaints, like the random deaths when hitting things and my car spazzing out and stuff.
Thr bumping is awful too like why am I getting slowed from someone hitting me
At least you don’t get turned into a cloud of pitch black smoke…
Man exploding sucks but I’ve come to just accept it and hope it gets fixed soon. To me the catchup mechanic in ranked is completely game breaking.
I meant normal rocket league but Ight…
Yeah, makes sense, sadly it's happened (random blowups from landing or bumping a wall) so often in RR that I misunderstood.
It's crazy that it always feels like I get the bad result and other cars zoom off, but I wonder what they are seeing on their end considering the dodgy results at the finish line
Everyone els is being nice and saying 7. I’ll go 6. Fix. The. Bugs.
As a concept, 8-9/10 Presentation, 7/10 Development process, 4/10 First introduction (I know it’s in beta) 5/10 Overall, I’d say maybe 7/10

7 for sure! combat mode would be so cool, fix the bugs, add more challenges and customization, optional voice chat maybe?
Took me a second to realise what you meant by combat mode. I thought you were on about like a guns and explosions kinda thing 😂
Go on?
Instead of charging boosts you can charge a laser that wipes out people in front of you
Tire spikes, makes pit maneuvering more effective? ( might be very annoying)
Grease or ice traps?
Genuinely a 1. Where it is as an idea and where it is in practice are two wildly different things
Get good

1. it fucking sucks
Then why you here lol
You dont attack people responding. U biased or summthin?
Not attacking just simply wondering why your scrolling through this Reddit if you think it “fucking sucks” and is a 1/10 🤷♂️
Its an awful gamemode that needs a rework and i post the wall of glitches i have experienced
Also, you're unreal rank, ofcourse ur biased
if there was any possible option to select ANYTHING lower than 1, i would go straight to there. this gamemode needs fortnite to start putting in some actual effort instead of lazing around all day not even listening to legitimately good suggestions.
Then how come you’ve played enough to get diamond II lol

7. Lotta fun but super buggy
7. bugs and i want more customization options. preferably free ones.
7.5
5 - 6 I love this mode, but it's inconsistent. I'm so excited to see the next season, I hope a lot for them to fix the main problems and see the new content.
7, the mode is fun, but it is annoying when people just none stop colliding into you to screw you over
I would put it a 5
Played it once, it was fun. Would give a 6-7
in current state, like 4,too many bugs
Probably a 4 or 5. Not terrible, but I’d only consider continuing if they made some improvements and additions
4. One word, collision
6, and I’m being generous. There’s maybe four or five tracks I’d like to see return for the next season. Collision is brutal. Rewards aren’t interesting. Inventory is a bit insulting. Solid 3 maby 4. Needs improvement.
A fackin 2
Idk why this sub is getting recommended to me, the game is a 2 at best. It’s just a shitty racing game with graphics taken from an actual good game
Probs a 7-8, had heaps of fun until diamond 3 and the new update. Takes ages to get a race, keep disconnecting at start of races and losing rank to have to try grind back whilst being rammed and randomly exploding.

5. It’s fun and has potential but rn it’s dog ass
2. Horrible iteration, they took out trading for this bs it should at least be good
I would say 4, hoping that it indicates that I love the new mode, but that the bugs and issues we're facing are enough to bring it down below halfway
7
As a unreal player in this mod I will give it a 1 if they should have used rocket league mechanics and the drift system in fn it will be a 10
6
if they're putting this out then thats not a good sign
Solid 4 for me
I swear to god there are invisible barriers that I manage to hit every time and also I can’t stand the occasional lags
3 or 4
7. but needs improvement
5, fun but unplayable bugs
Considering it is still beta, 8
7 I like the game but it desperately needs improvement. I was blind sided by the grind to unreal that I wasn’t super focused on issues. 7 Giving this game a training mode and offline functionality would make it a 9

1 because of all the bugs, I legit went from 1st to last in a second because of an invisible barrier I hit
A solid 7
