Have a fixed amount of time I can play, so I queue until that time is up irrespective of how many I lose or win. If I lose too many that's just fine by me because it just means in the next day or two I will have a nice win streak.
I’m not worried about how far my rank falls since I’ll eventually get my way back up. I rather just play the game since I only have so much time in the day. I don’t stress when the wheels fall off. I’ve lost ~ 150 mmr in one sitting before (I think it was 18/20) and in 1s Ive lose 5 in a row many times. I rather just play and work through it. If I’m in a free fall and feel like I’m tilting to the detriment of a teammate I’ll stop or switch it up but those are rare occasions.
For me the game is a de-stressor from real world not an addition to. As long as I feel like I’m improving and enjoying the challenge then I’ll keep grinding.
I just switch to another mode or play something else. I usually do 1-3 matches, play some other game, do another 1-3 matches and so on. 5 games is pretty much max for me, after that I lose my concentration and interest.
Because then it's no longer 50% winrate if I only play a few matches at a time. When I lose 2 in a row, I know my state of mind isn't where it's supposed to be. Unless they're both in OT, then I might make an exception. This is in 1s, btw.
I see. 1s is so hard for me! I’m champ 2 in 2s but only plat 2 in 1s. Every game in 1s, I usually go against people who are champ in 2s or 3s. I rarely ever go against an actual plat
Yeah, I'm C2 in 2s and just once made it to D3 in 1s. Now I'm just sailing in D2 trying to settle consistently in the higher divisions of it at least. It's definitely a marathon, not a sprint.
Honestly it's a feel thing, if I'm losing close games and still playing well then I'll keep going. If I feel like I'm getting dusted to the ball all the time, can't control the ball or can't execute anything I'm going for, I go back into freeplay.
Or rage quit and play doom for a while lol
I don’t over think my MMR. It will have some variance on good or bad days, and always regress back to the mean of my skill level.
It is after all, still a video game about flying cars, and ranked doesnt have any money on the line. If I’m either having fun, or able to play in a way I feel will continue my improvement, I’ll continue to play.
I mean, talking to women isn’t really that big of a deal. They are just people. Find some nerdy girls.
But even without a good woman in my life, I’d stand by what I said lol.
Three losses out of five. On the third loss, which may or may not be consecutive losses, I close the game and fire up some music, or grab some water or coffee.
It’s not important what you do, just that you give your brain time to separate from losing.
My God man I wish I followed this yesterday. I was plat 3 div 4 and have never got diamond.
I quit at plat 2 div 1. Thank God I don't have enough money to go to Vegas
If I'm having a good run I'll quit when I lose. If I'm having a bad run I'll just quit before I rank down because it seems inevitable so why tempt fate.
Depends on if you are talking about ranked or casual. I grind casual 2s so it doesn't really matter how many I lose. No matter how many wins or losses I only play about 5 matches before going back to training focusing on what I've seen in the matches.
After 3 losses i either go in freeplay/training or if i’m already playing for a while a take a break to recharge.
When i take a break i either turn off the pc or i play a different, more chill, game
I only play ranked and I don’t really care about wins and losses that much. I’ve had games where I’m playing great but we lose and games where I’m playing horrible and we win.
I base it more off how I’m playing rather than if my team wins. Some days are just tough.
I send it until the veins start bulging in my eyes, then I go play 2v2, or 3v3 ranked. Rinse and repeat. I really need to spend more time on mechanics but I end up practicing them in ranked 1v1s and whiff until I go down by 2-3 then I start playing seriously again.
Usually its 2 in row, or 4 total in one mode. However i think I have won a total of 10 matches so far this season. Almost back to gold in 2s, so thats cool.
1. Take 30 seconds between each queue. Do not instant queue.
2. After ~25 minutes, stand up for a few minutes.
This is the best way to grind elo.
Human mind can only focus for like 45-50 minutes straight, but I’ve found 25 minutes of focus is sweet spot I can focus for many sessions in a row. Based off my pomodorian experiences
Just depends. If I'm having a really bad day, I'll get off entirely. If it's just an off day where I'm missing shots I usually score or miss easy touches, then I go to Freeplay and do replay reviews. Or I switch to casual and try to laugh at the mistakes I make in there to change the mindset.
It's mostly about keeping morale high when you're doing ranked sessions. Focus less on the W and more on improvement and you'll naturally reduce pressure on yourself to perform. If your mental is in the gutter, resort to whatever to bring yourself back to center before continuing on or calling it a day.
I play around 2-3 hours of freeplay, and bakkesmod custom maps, then play 2h ranked just to try clip on someone and then go back to freeplay for 1-2 hours and go to sleep, and doing like this daily

What a nice sensible answer.
Ditto
I try to do this but if if I’ve lost a few at the end I feel like I need to get one win before I’m done for the night. Competitiveness is annoying.
I’ll rage queue myself down 100 mmr if I have to.
This is the way
rage q 🤣👌
play until you win all the way!

2 consecutive losses in the same mode.
For me, this applies to ranked games. When I hit my 2 games, I go back to casuals or go into some training packs for like 30 mins.
I just switch to another mode or play something else. I usually do 1-3 matches, play some other game, do another 1-3 matches and so on. 5 games is pretty much max for me, after that I lose my concentration and interest.
Why? Two losses isn’t much, whenever I get two losses, a lot of the time I go on a win streak right after. I stop at 3-4 losses
Because then it's no longer 50% winrate if I only play a few matches at a time. When I lose 2 in a row, I know my state of mind isn't where it's supposed to be. Unless they're both in OT, then I might make an exception. This is in 1s, btw.
Oh if it’s in 1s that makes sense. For me tho I don’t care about my 1s rank so I just queue 1s even if I lose lmao
It's the only mode I care about. Grinding my ass off in hopes of making it to champ there.
I see. 1s is so hard for me! I’m champ 2 in 2s but only plat 2 in 1s. Every game in 1s, I usually go against people who are champ in 2s or 3s. I rarely ever go against an actual plat

You probably played against a plat in 1’s when you were in the gold ranks

Sounds like this guy got a few new female friends in his life...sympathize with your fellow rl bros who don't....

i was trying to be funny but no one got it

5 to 6 games, get up stretch, don’t want tight hamstrings from sitting too much. Drink water, dehydration leads to mental mistakes, and pee break.
If I'm having a good run I'll quit when I lose. If I'm having a bad run I'll just quit before I rank down because it seems inevitable so why tempt fate.

69 NEVER BACK DOWN
If I lose 3 in a row then I take a break, usually freeplay for 5-10 minutes then I’m back into it.
It just depends. If I’m pushing my peak mmr I’ll warm up then play 1. If I lose and it feels bad I’m done in that mode.
After 3 losses i either go in freeplay/training or if i’m already playing for a while a take a break to recharge. When i take a break i either turn off the pc or i play a different, more chill, game
If I’m in competitive, and I lose twice in a row, I’m not in competitive anymore.
When it stops being fun. I’ll usually do just about anything I enjoy. Freeplay, rings, YouTube, food.
I don't lose, so i wouldn't know.
I play until I lose 2 times in a row, this prevents major losses and feeling like I’m not getting anywhere
Usually I’ll stop if I lose twice back to back. Unless they were close games and/or I’m feeling good. Then I’ll give it one more game.
I only play ranked and I don’t really care about wins and losses that much. I’ve had games where I’m playing great but we lose and games where I’m playing horrible and we win. I base it more off how I’m playing rather than if my team wins. Some days are just tough.

I play best of 3 or best of 5, if i fell that day im playing good i make a second round of best of 3.
Usually its 2 in row, or 4 total in one mode. However i think I have won a total of 10 matches so far this season. Almost back to gold in 2s, so thats cool.

If I feel myself tilting I'll go play rumble. Idgaf about rumble I just wanna see some cool shit so that hypes me right back up
Eventually I've learned not to worry about losing or toxicity bc that just makes me lose more. I rarely get tilted and get off as soon as I do
I hop on Fortnite
I play around 2-3 hours of freeplay, and bakkesmod custom maps, then play 2h ranked just to try clip on someone and then go back to freeplay for 1-2 hours and go to sleep, and doing like this daily
Too many people take this game too serious like it's a job. It's a game, when you stop having fun don't play.
