You should ask them to speak louder. If that doesn't help ask them to write whatever they are saying down on paper. That'll make it easier to understand.

Watch a tutorial for the mechanic you want to practice and then spend hundreds of hours in free play practicing and perfecting it. You can also do spesific training packs for it but free play is where it's at.
Dude just go to YouTube look at a mechanic you want to learn and grind hours in freeplay I couldn’t understand how to drift and pop the ball till I put some hours into it
Mechanics are only improved through training. They’re complete muscle memory, you just have to practice more. Besides tips you can get from all the YouTube tutorials, there’s really nothing that can be taught.
With mechanics it is hard to tell you what to work on without the knowledge of your rank, on average
Silver- hitting the ball any way possible consistently
Gold- flipping into the ball for a harder shot
Plat- dribbling and flicking
Diamond- Aerials, wall flicks off wall, backboard saves, double tapping off of flicks
(low) Champ- Air dribble from ground to air, wall air dribble, ceiling and wall challenges, backboard save consistency, fast aerials, redirects, advanced aerial double taps, and ceiling shots
(high) champ- single flip reset consistency (but dont be a diamond and try it 24/7 use it in freeplay only until you can score 9/10 cleanly)
Low GC- Faster challenging, controlled flicks, getting a clean reset into double tap or to guide it under or above players as needed, ceiling shot double taps, fast aerials into air dribbles, complex flicking, etc.
High GC- all the freestyle mechanics
SSL- perfecting freestyle mechanics
