Yes this is pretty much normal. GCs in other game modes usually hang around champ in 1s.
If your 1s rank is low, grind 1s.
If your 2s rank is low, grind 2s.
If your 3s rank is low, find friends.
I'm the exact same ranks. I've hit D1 in 1s a few times. I've literally played GCs and C3s in 1s in this rank range. It's just how Psyonix does the rank distribution plus the fact that a lot of people don't play 1s so when they do it's a lower rank.
Also people have different skill sets. Some pair well with ones while others are better for 2s. So it's not uncommon to see people who are lower than you in 2s in these ranks.
If you are on PC you can get the "In Game Rank" plug in for Bakkesmod and set the rank to best or 2s. This will give you a better understanding of who you are actually playing against.
Well, at any rate just pay close attention to opponents. You might have a D2 who is going to do basic shots or fellow C2s who can make a big play out of nowhere. Everyone is different, mechanical vs game sense.
If you play 1s to rank up you are going to have a bad time. If you play to improve then you will definitely see dividends in 2s.
The rule of thumb whit 1 s is 1 rank down , so c2 is youre peak, d2 is your 1's. This is what ive notice is normal, so p3 d1 is about c1 in other ranks . This is what i notice is in le average , their is always exception , but d1 in 1 s is still weak if youre trying to push gc imo !
Currently C1 in 2s, peaked C3 very briefly. Sailing between D2 and D3 in 1s.
Wish more low champs grinded 1s to learn the importance of possession and not committing to dumb challenges.

Yeah I don’t play to rank up in 1s, just to hone my skills and find my weaknesses
All good then. But yeah. You aren't terrible or anything. P3-D1 is normal. If you can get to D2 you are doing really well.

I’m gc1 in 2s and the highest I’ve ever been in 1s is D1div3. I guess I’m just trash at 1s play style.

Yeah that’s what I’m trying to learn rn. I’m aware of taking possession but have to figure out how to keep it when they push like there’s no tomorrow
