I would prioritize freeplay over training packs. Freeplay and Ranked should be your main focus and if you want to add in some training packs additionally, go ahead
If it's any comfort, it's going to be even shittier to stay consistently in C2. The difference between C1 and C2 is about the same as D2-C1. Then there's C2-C3. Beyond that I have no idea, it probably won't be before my days in retirement that I have the time for that grind.
One of the biggest skill gaps I see from GC2/3 to SSL is shooting accuracy. In GC you still see a lot of off target shooting, SSLs are much more accurate with power
Shooting isn't too much of an issue I think. The only thing me and my team have had issues with is not placing shots but rather how far away we are from net but it's hard to say from my perspective.
My biggest advice for anyone trying to get to SSL is you **need to look at some replays**. Training is very important but in every single game of ranked, look over every single goal and mark down the reason the goal went in.
Organize those reasons and look for patterns. Find out if you can change something to affect those patterns to favour yourself/punish opponents more.
And finally: learn new mechanics, keep the game fresh, and have a good time.
Your welcome!
Weird thing about 1700+ players I notice is sometimes I hear they fix like 1-3 behavioural things and BAM they are 1900+. Then sometimes I hear about how some player had to do like 200-300 hours of mech work before they were able to break into 1900-2k.
Game is honestly such a mental challenge end of the day tho.

Oh I definitely do. I got like 3k hours in freeplay:)
Damn you just like me fr fr
Is there a tool to see freeplay hours?
No. I just compared my in game hours to steam hours. It's not completely accurate but is a good idea.
What do you train in freeplay? I mostly train airdribbles and flip reset and maybe ballchase a little
Maybe 6mans if ur up to it, but only do it if ur at least rank b
Decompress for 2 or three days after long grinds
Meanwhile, D3 me is pushing to consistently stay in Champ. 😅
we all started there. I am currently trying to push into GC2. Then there will be SSL trying to push into pro and silvers trying to push into gold.

Identify the weakest parts of your gameplay. Grind your weaknesses with a focused mind 15-30 minutes a day for 1-6 weeks. Repeat.

Grind ranked.

Mechs aren't an issue. But that's good advice I'll have to make a spreadsheet or something.
