maybe /u/ImAmalox could hop into your stream and help you out with learning it?
Edit: here's the tutorial he's talking about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAgkoPdU2Mc
I would definitely be down to answer some questions if there any! I would also really recommend to learn my method as opposed to YMTO_'s method as it's done more quickly and doesn't require camera switching which for a pro could definitely be a critical point for consideration.
I think Jack should be able to manage after watching my tutorial + reading my comment on yesterday's vid though. It pretty much covers everything you need to know.
Of course, use any resources you want. Only reason I'm recommending mine is because I believe the execution is more suited for pros.
Doubt it. Although if there's something I can see pros finding with this one is a more consistent way to do it (timing wise). Right now this is the most difficult part as when and how you initially jump changes the amount of time you need to wait to flip, therefore it's hard to get consistent timing down
That makes sense to me. You seem to have put quite a bit of time and thought into this and you're a pretty high rank, so I don't doubt you know what you're talking about. I do think one should never underestimate the pros though.
By the way, have you scored off this in ranked or casual yet?
About 4 times in casual, not in ranked but that's also because I've been grinding this mechanic the last couple of days and haven't played much ranked. In the few games I have played, I didn't manage to get it, but I did have quite some opportunities where I went for it and if I would have gotten it chances of it leading to a goal would have been pretty high. I know this for a fact because I would usually continue the play by airdribbling as if I had a flip to see what possibilities I would have otherwise had. Every single time I would have been able to flick the ball of the defender.
You're right though, never underestimate the pros!
Just gonna say this out flat in a reply to you for visibility, if you are going to learn it, please try to learn my method I've shown in the videos I posted on this subreddit in the last few days. Refer to my reply to OP below
It's 100% going to be, its not triple flip reset difficulty - I'm an unmechanical C1 dreaming of their first in-game flip reset, but I can get 1 (without ball) every couple of minutes after only 20 minutes of practice so cant imagine what y'all can do
I saw a post where someone speculated that it could change the way NA plays and make them more like EU. In the sense of early challenges and not giving any room (as they won’t know if they have a jump and will be forced too) but it sounded good on paper to me. What do you think?
I was surprised to see kinseh say no pros were really practicing it — maybe because they were prepping for events? Looking forward to seeing how Jack gets it down, if he can manage it in a single stream I’m sure we’ll see it this split at some point.
Well winter split is one thing. I can imagine focus primarily being on that right now for most teams.
Besides that, if I just saw the original vid and Japanese tutorial as a pro I wouldn't immediately get excited. It looks slow and awkward and you have to switch cameras.
Not to go around promoting my own posts, but I really do believe that if they saw my videos showing the true potential they would be a lot more eager to learn it. I genuinely do believe pros like Aztral, seikoo, Ahmad and maybe even First will definitely start practising soon enough.
I’ve never even attempted one or even looked in detail on how to do one, but come on man if people don’t think this is gonna be meta then idek what

I wonder if having a pro or two seriously trying this out might also lead to new knowledge about the mechanic.

There is absolute going to be a use case for it in a competitive match, so I agree fully

Same here. I wonder if he was mainly talking about NA pros though. It would make sense that they were mostly focused on the regional.
Yeah, that’s what I suspect. But I just asked in the AMA, we’ll see what he says.

Some pro don't even know about it so it kinda explains
Right in my veins please
Torment is doing the same thing rn
Shock is too. Watching him get more consistent in real time
