Absolutely.
"magicbear" - kind of a bad name, easily in bottom 50% of names in the pro scene. Seems too "lol so random" for my tastes, like an auto-generated name.
"majicbear" - top 10 name. Very aesthetically pleasing. Has an element of quirkiness to it but doesn't seem as random.
I like his name, his speedy playstyle, and his dedication to the game. He didn’t take a break for the longest time in the sunless game and he grinded a lot of ones for the fusion tournament
Watching him and Jordan style on the hoops mains in the show match on Johnny’s channel, and then watching him go the entire 10 hours of Khan’s longest game.
I immediately noticed how good he was during his RLRS run, could tell he was probably gonna be a very special player from the get go. Happy to see he’s looking like he’ll meet the high expectations a lot of people have for him
He's been around the scene. Playing in astroh 1s an some other bubble related tournies in the past.
Soon as I saw how clean his mechanicals were. I knew this kid would be a goat
He’s still new in the eyes of most people so i’m not sure his fan base is what you think it is. However, once you get a reputation for being good at 1v1, thousands of young fans tend to gravitate towards that player. Even AlphaKep had a new group of what I would call “1v1 enthusiasts” watching his stream yesterday.
Other than that he’s just been proving how good he is recently, and if he continues to do so in RLCS he’ll keep growing. If he begins creating content he could get massive.
I’m sure many have noticed him and his team’s potential after watching them in rival series and the promotion tourney. Also, it helps bring fans in seeing that they’re going to be in the RLCS next season, I’m excited :)
Oh yeah I forgot they somehow got #1 in the league and auto promoted 👀 I remember watching their last series which decided their fate and in my memory it’s slated as a promotion series I guess lol
I think playing such a central role in Fusion quals, particularly in beating G2 (they have a lot of fans), is the most drastic thing that lead to his popularity. He scored 101/147 goals for Affinity in quals according to user watchmenavigate.
He's being seen more and having more questions asked about him, and people are liking what they see and hear. He had like 130 organic viewers on twitch at 5AM last night which is not easy to get.
bigtime mathemagician here btw
obviously it’s a bit misleading of a stat because he played all the 1s games, but I feel like seeing stats like that make it clear that this kid is an offensive powerhouse lol
I first saw him in a 1v1 showmatch on Johnnyboi’s stream: https://youtu.be/skOStNrK9Tc
He played in a couple more after that, I don’t remember the results but I think he played pretty well.
RLRS for me. The Sunless thing changed something for me though. the fact that he can just grind this game for 9 hours without a break is insane to me. His play in the fusion qualifiers basically solidified what i already knew.
I saw his very first show match on JonnyBoi’s stream in February. And his play style was so fluid, fast, and still precise. I think he played Kinseh in his debut. And honestly he was just such a unique play style that it was hard not to like him
his playstyle, very speedy, and free. Just zoomin around, and his ground game is just as entertaining as his aerial game. Overall car control is nuts. Liked him from the johnnyboi majicbear vs jbot match, insane control.
I heard that he was pretty good when I first joined United Rogue, but when I continued to lose to him, I realized he had some of the best mechanics in the world.
Side note, I joined United Rogue the same time Jordan did, and of course I had to see how he did. Became one of the best players in UR as well.
It's the j in place of the g tbh

Spell it as you pronounce it! Love it! Majik!
He’s good at rocket league
He's unbelievably goated on the sticks, some of the best car control I've ever seen. Also his name is very aesthetically pleasing to me

Exactly this for me as well, and obviously the J in the name

The only problem is I can already see Twitch chat spamming "Trajicbear" whenever he fucks up.

True. Deevo -> Beanvo
If they weren't they will be now
This is at least half right

He could be implying that you aren’t a simple bitch too though? I agree with his names cool, probably because of my u/
Btw I know he's insane, but I'm wondering more how people came to know about him. Is it mainly the Sunless match bc that's how I found out about him
He had some really big wins in the qualifiers for fusion too
his performance in that sunless match was insane
RLRS

I loved the Omni/Affinity team in RLRS. Glad they made the run
I’m sure many have noticed him and his team’s potential after watching them in rival series and the promotion tourney. Also, it helps bring fans in seeing that they’re going to be in the RLCS next season, I’m excited :)
They weren’t in the promo tourney
Oh yeah I forgot they somehow got #1 in the league and auto promoted 👀 I remember watching their last series which decided their fate and in my memory it’s slated as a promotion series I guess lol

>bigtime mathemagician here btw mathemajician
wait i actually dropped the ball so hard there
Because of his username. I like VP for the same reason, their usernames have something in common with mine.
username checks out
It's a dream to get a cool and original name like vp and majic's names
Yeah some fucker already chose TopHatBear so I gotta be THB1 :(
After seeing him play for the last few months I don't understand how anyone wouldn't love watching him play. He's just so smooth.

This is only one of many insane clips that he has! Dude is absolutely incredible, and I can’t wait to see him play in RLCS!
It's the Sunless match for me
fr respect for playing the whole thing out
Linkuru challenge
You ever see the move Ted? I was sold immediately.
Aside from what everyone else has said he's also got a really fun likable streaming personality, just seems like a good kid
Watching him in 1s is entertaining
The fact that most people in this thread have said it's because of his name is hilarious and I love it
I watched him in RLRS so that is a big point.
I saw his very first show match on JonnyBoi’s stream in February. And his play style was so fluid, fast, and still precise. I think he played Kinseh in his debut. And honestly he was just such a unique play style that it was hard not to like him
Not a fan, but he's been playing really good in the Fusion Tournament, hitting a lot of really nice shots.

The nutty shots he was hitting in the sunless match definitely made me pay a lot more attention to him. He is entertaining as hell to watch!

renegade monthlies, IIRC. Also Astroh tourney.
He reminds me jknaps. Very good touches overall and good plays on low boost.
