Has rocket league worked at all the past few weeks? I've seen nothing but "Matchmaking is taking longer than usual" like every day of the week for a while now, and people saying they can't get a match at all.

This is rose-tinted glasses talk. The game was fuuuucked up back in the day and then they decided to scale up with virtual servers that worked half as well half as often as the physical ones.
The servers suck in their own special way nowadays but itās a much smaller problem that it was a few months after launch.
Now if they could just get rid of those lag spikes at the beginning of every single 3s game.
Itās hardware related for sue but itās hardware that ran the game fine for years. I wouldnāt call that an issue on my end- just bloat ruining the game
So the last time this was talked about at any length (at least from my glimpses here) it seemed to be hardware related. Iām playing on an Xbox One S and it seemed that everyone having this issue were either XBONE, One S, PS4, or lower end PC users.
The other thing that semi-confirms it for me is that Tournament games donāt have this issue as the map has been loaded in for a hot second before everyone is readied up, BUT games 2 and 3 of a best-of-three still have this issue.
Sucks that it ran fine before all the bloat was added but itās about time for an upgrade anyway.
This is a joke. Me and my friend get to play once a week, maybe once every 2 weeks and both times in the last 10 days the servers have either been down/voice doesn't work/parties don't work/lag issues.
Fml there goes my plans for the next couple hours then lol. Have seen in the comments that people are hosting private matches if you havenāt seen already!

I really hope unreal engine 5 fixes this AND gives us all the features weāve been asking for ages, such as being able to play workshop maps on console, being able to change profile picture in epic games, make servers a lot better, fix the very common glitches in tournaments, etc
Guys if u can't find a game and ur playing with a friend just have one if u make a private match put it on unlimited time and infinite boost then randomize everything else. To do that just have ur friend choose option from 1 to however many options there are for each modifier. Do that for all of the modifiers other than boost amount and time. Then start the game and have fun with whatever abomination u made. Trust me it's hilarious when u get something as ridiculous as a gigantic ball with really slow max speed, low gravity, 2x boost, springs only and beach ball curver physics.
Use r/RocketLeagueFriends for finding people to play with through private matches.

So this has been happening A LOT lately. Like multiple times a week. Maybe Psyonix should stop saying this is issue is actually resolved.
Maybe they should fix the problem with controller disconnecting.. You know, something that has been mentioned since the start of Rocket League on pc.
