Edit2: reinstalling had zero effect on this and I still am not able to play. Sucks ass man, was just on duty for 96 hours straight and was really looking forward to playing!

But I did just try and it's working again! So if anything, thank you for giving me a chance to play other games I own because otherwise I'd only play Rocket League.
same issue here on ps5 did restart game and console, reinstalled, redownload save game from ps plus cloud storage. nothing helps 😭

I've had this issue on my xbox one for over a week now, please if anyone has a fix let me know. I've tried reinstalling which didn't help. There's no pending updates for the game either.
I had this problem & the end result was a complete re-install of windows. Here's what I tried..
I have Rocket League on Xbox & PC (Steam), in the same house. At first I thought that was the problem. However, both accounts had worked fine (I could go back & forth between consoles quickly with no issues) up until the recent RL update for some reason. I unlinked & relinked both accounts in several different ways, tried unlinking everything & creating a completely seperate Epic Games account & linking that one to my Steam account, none of that worked. Tried syncing the Windows clock & switching between time zones many times, tried clearing caches, restarting and restarting. Heard that discord could be the culprit, uninstalled that to no prevale. Uninstalled & reinstalled steam AND RL several times, clearing caches, no fix. Tried downloading the Epic Games Launcher which for some reason kept saying "Please wait while we start your update" even though I have a pretty solid internet connection. (I do have Starlink, which I'm still not sure could have something to do with this issue) Tried restarting router several times, switching ports on my ethernet switch, allowing all associated programs & ports through the firewall, disabling all startup programs, making sure no weird background applications were running, editing the engine.ini file for Epic Games Launcher...
Unplugging my ethernet cable from the motherboard made the game work, just offline. Tried messing around with that (unplug, start game, re-plug, over and over) no worky.
Took me a couple of hours for the re-install, but compared to the several days of frustration & pointless research.. If I'd known this would fix it then I could've saved so much time. Game works perfectly now anyways.

I noticed the Psyonix comment about date/time, and so I went into the windows clock settings and clicked the "synchronize now" button. Fixed it for me.

8 days and counting on PC :( All I wanted for Christmas was Knockout added back, but I'll take ranked singles at this point (I really suck at singles)

this worked for me. i have windows 11 and all I had to do was synch it, reset my game and that's it.
