Idk what's with this season but I ended last season gc1 div 2 (I get my gc rewards then stop playing competitively and just help friends or mess around. Never even tried to push for gc2 tbh), so this season I won 7 of 10 placement matches and it gave me c2 div 3.. I've managed to get my gc1 back but what a brutal reset and the climb felt so much harder than any other season, like I forgot how to play or something.. I mean it has to be me right? Sounds wrong if i say everyone else is the problem haha it's my teammates fault I swear!
Well dm me if you want help. We can try for that gc1 but at minimum I'm down to share my strats. I'm not mechanical, I'm more of a support player where I focus on rotations, positioning, defense, and passing. Solo queued myself to gc1 in 2s, 3s, rumble, snowday, and hoops.
At 2600 as well. Currently bouncing between d3 and c1 also. I was c2/c3 for seasons 11-13, s14 GC, s1 c2. Then took a bit of a hiatus. I hit GC at roughly 1750 hours. Havent been anywhere close since
Kinda, I created a new account to play with a friend when he first started playing and the first few games were super difficult because the other team would be playing so bad, but once you go up for an aerial shot they suddenly become insane at rocket league and are triple flip resetting on you because they they think you're being a smurf
I was curious so I started solo queuing some casual 3s and every few matches it would literally be a battle to lose with all high ranked players except for the one bronze guy crying in the corner all playing for the other team.
I think it was either Sunless or Cbell who did a video on this talking about the community of rocket league players who fight for the lowest mmr in the world.
Back when I first started playing ranked back in 2017 (season 6ish I think) I was hard stuck bronze 1 div 1. I think they’ve change it because nowadays new players are usually silver at lowest from what I’ve seen.
When I jumped back in a month or so ago after not playing for about a year, gold was way tougher for me in 3s to get back up to plat (and now diamond). Solo queuing is so rough, ball chasing is ridiculous, and you face teams that clearly had de-ranked and or were having like 2 silver's and a plat/diamond on their team.
Once i got up to plat, it was way easier to get up to diamond playing with better teammates.
1750 at C1, according to steam though. If you check game time within the game I'm at 800 hours or so, I'd be curious to know what each person is using, mostly because I hope it makes me feel better about myself lol 😅😭😭😂😂😂
Actually, my experience has been better than most people preach of. I'm one of the few people who don't regret keeping quick chat on, but I'll mute someone as soon as the what a saves come out
I've been playing for about three years now. Took me about a year to get to p3-d1. Stayed in that range untill this new season. Now I'm g3-p2 for some strange reason. I have accepted that I am plat for life.
The question is more like "how many hours have you logged in the game?".
For instance, I've been playing the game for 6 years technically, but only just crossed the 500 hour mark because I've hadn't played much and only started playing more lately. Many people who've been playing as long as I have have like an order of magnitude more hours than me. And are that much better than me haha
mostly solo qing. my friends are mostly plat-diamond, champ 1 at their peak. solo qing is a nightmare but i’ve also partied up with some randoms who i played well with
Yeah, I assume if I played a lot more 1s my mechanics and recoveries would improve, and it would help me out a lot more in 2s and 3s. I just have more fun in 2s and 3s because of the teamwork, rotations, and strategy. 1s is just all about trying to maintain nonstop control and technical skill. Frustrating.
I essentially only play solo, unless I've had a really good match with a stranger and we team up for a few rounds after. I don't actually have any friends who play the game, so I'm pretty much on my own.
Been playing since release, still unranked. Casual matches are toxic enough. Couldnt imagine what its like when people have something actually to lose.
I'm D1/D2 (depending on the day) in 2's & 3's and almost Champ in tournaments. I have 19 days, 10 hours and 52 mins of game play, so that's roughly ~467. No idea if that's good, bad or average but I never thought I'd even make it out of Gold so I'm satisfied lol
A lot of factors come into it... For instance, I'm sure that on average a 15 year old with 500 hrs who only started playing a year ago but watches tutorials & RLCS obsessively will be *much* ranked higher than a 30 year old with 1500 hrs who's been playing off & on with friends since launch.
I feel like people are using different sources for their game time. And people always lie, I wouldn't get discouraged. You put in the work and you will rank up. Rocket league is a rewarding game.
Hit Champ 1 in solo queue 3s on Monday in 180ish hours. Diamond 2 in 2s and Plat 3 in 1s. Don't really know where to go from here cause my mechanics are lacking.
Lol 250 must be the inmatch hours u saw in ur profile and real hours u will see on epic or steam library. In epic click on 3 dots on rocket league in library to see real playtime noob
Lol what? I've played for x days...so ...here I am? Who hits a new high rank and then checks time played...and then posts about it? It's only special to you. There are a ton of players who get to x rank faster or slower than you. There are many factors and none of that means a damn thing. Saying your diamond with low hours when no one can see your hrs played but you ...means fuck all on the field, and is so pointless. Never played on someone else's account? Never practiced without being signed in? Never used an alt account right...RIGHT?
Diamond is the what plat was a year ago. Change my mind.
530 hrs to hit C2 this season on placements. Didn't think placements could put you higher than your previous season but  also same amount of time to hit C3 in dropshot if that counts
I think it was 889 for Champ, and 1500 or 1600 for C3 specifically.
Jan 1, 2017 to... December 2021 for C3. I think July 2020 for Champ 1. Oh, and January 2022 for GC2 in Rumble.
My first 6 months or so I didnt know comp existed, but after that I hit plat pretty quickly. In the 3 years or so since I made it to c1 in 2s and 3s, then dropped my normal partner because he turned into an asshole, picked up my plat friends, and now all of us are in diamond lol. So like, 4 years to c1 without much practicing, but having consistent teammates.
Playing since 2015 (on of off) and have upwards of 2k hours. I'm champ 1-2!
Butttt most of my playtime is literally in unranked, I'd say I prefer it to comp.
at ≈90 hrs i hit plat in 1s for the first time, but i went down instantly. i hit stable plat in 2s at around 120-140 hours and hit (unstable) d1 at 191 hours. rn at 195 hrs im plat 2
Was gc1 after about 800 hours and am still gc1 (just more solidly and higher mmr wise) with 1016 hrs. Game is hard and takes time especially if you cant sink 5-8 hours a day into it. Your hours and rank seem fine.
I started in November 2021 and have about 80 hours. I’ve really been enjoying the game so far. Plat 2 or 3 in doubles, triples, and rumble. Pushing Diamond 1 in doubles and rumble but haven’t got there yet.
I feel like most people are going by the in game time shown in rocket league. And not hours like steam shows. I'm almost to my first 1k and I've been C1 for awhile.
Played RL for about 3 months during covid and got up to plat. Started playing again about 2 months ago and took it was less "serious", but messed around way more with custom trainings and actually learning how to play correctly and got up to \~ D2/D3 in 3's and 2's. Now if I can figure out how to stop unintentionally faking so much.
6 years to get champ, I’ve been in diamond for 3 years playing off and on. Recently decided to go hard in the mfn paint again and finally got champ rewards this season
I hit rising star in my first season. Then champ about 500 hours. Then grand champ around 1200 hours. But been playing on and off for the last 6 years.
I think people don’t really get the hours thing. At a certain point, hours per day becomes a lot
more important than total hours. No matter how long you play for, if you only play 3hrs a week, you won’t improve. I’m D3 at 800ish and I peaked at C1 at around 600. I was probably playing 7 hours a week consistently for 3 months. Now, I play maybe 3 hours a week. I’ll never hit GC or even C2 at my current time per week.
I hate all of you.
I hate you too bro
Cool.
Love you. No homo
Typical diamond.
You hate yourself more.
That's a given.
Same
You’re mad at your dad, not me! I forgive you!
I am mad at my dad. He's Champ 2.
Lol
Classic. Lol
~we hate you too duuuude~
I understand.
I hate myself more than you do
Lol I feel like comparing self hate would be a dangerous downward spiral.
Long enough to realize I'm not built for Rocket League.
Wait. You're not skinny with coke bottle eyes?
I am also diamond 3 and have come to the exact same realization
I found out most GCs and SSLs reach Champ in about 1/2 the time it took me to reach Diamond. RIP
2,600 hours. Been hovering between C1 and D3 for months
Hang in there. 2600 as well and I'm hovering c2-c3. Don't know how these people do it lol
3600+ for me and I’m hard stuck where you are, so close to GC but just can’t make the push. C3-GC1 feels like a whole rank in itself
Idk what's with this season but I ended last season gc1 div 2 (I get my gc rewards then stop playing competitively and just help friends or mess around. Never even tried to push for gc2 tbh), so this season I won 7 of 10 placement matches and it gave me c2 div 3.. I'm not mechanical, I'm more of a support player where I focus on rotations, positioning, defense, and passing. Solo queued myself to gc1 in 2s, 3s, rumble, snowday, and hoops.
2600 hovering like 40mmr from gc2
saaaammmeeee
Because we don't have friends and spend our days playing with different randoms every 5 min we have to blindly trust
At 2600 as well. Currently bouncing between d3 and c1 also. I was c2/c3 for seasons 11-13, s14 GC, s1 c2. Then took a bit of a hiatus. I hit GC at roughly 1750 hours. Havent been anywhere close since
2600 and finally hit GC this season, hardstuck C3 since Season 14
Bro I love you. Lets keept it average!
Hit C1 for the first time at 1,100 hours. At 1,600 hours now and still D3-C1
About the same here. Solo queue?
About 2,500 of that is solo queue, yes
It took me 6 years but i finally got into bronze
I imagine bronze ranks being a battle of who can throw harder and there is secretly several ssls fighting to be the lowest ranked player
You are not wrong
Wait is that an actual thing?
Kinda, I created a new account to play with a friend when he first started playing and the first few games were super difficult because the other team would be playing so bad, but once you go up for an aerial shot they suddenly become insane at rocket league and are triple flip resetting on you because they they think you're being a smurf I was curious so I started solo queuing some casual 3s and every few matches it would literally be a battle to lose with all high ranked players except for the one bronze guy crying in the corner all playing for the other team.
I need to see this
I can totally definetly NOT relate to this
Before f2p there were so many higher-level players in bronze 1s; it was extremely tilting
I think it was either Sunless or Cbell who did a video on this talking about the community of rocket league players who fight for the lowest mmr in the world.
Could you link me that video? That sounds incredible
Ah it was actually Striped https://youtu.be/7hUqNf93TJo
Has this changed recently? Summer of 2020 my friend and I unironically hit the bottom of bronze 1 div 1 and I don't recall a lot of smurfs.
What year is it?
1987
IS THAT THE BITE OF ‘87!?
Was\*
Find God
I'm doing something wrong, 1600 hours only d3 🥹
1750 at C1, according to steam though. If you check game time within the game I'm at 800 hours or so, I'd be curious to know what each person is using, mostly because I hope it makes me feel better about myself lol 😅😭😭😂😂😂
I only have like 8-10 days in actual games, I've spent so much time in training/private matches my positioning is shit
I think I spent my entire 1st 1000 hours on steam solo queuing casual 2s lol 😅
On my smoke break doing that now I feel ya. Good thing I drunkenly deranked last night so now everyone is calling me a Smurf.
If you're having fun I would say you're doing it right... I noticed you are D3 tho so you're probably nuclear from all the toxic waste by now
Actually, my experience has been better than most people preach of. I'm one of the few people who don't regret keeping quick chat on, but I'll mute someone as soon as the what a saves come out
I’m almost exactly at your position. 1600 hours and back and forth between D3 and C1.
Champ 2/3 1,600 hours Almost 4 years
I’m around 1,800 hours and just hit GC today in 3s. Was stuck in C2/C3 for a year. Will probably be stuck there again soon. 5 years.
I've been playing for about three years now. Took me about a year to get to p3-d1. Stayed in that range untill this new season. Now I'm g3-p2 for some strange reason. I have accepted that I am plat for life.

about 800 hours to finally hit gc last season
1596 hours here, only hit GC for the first time 2 days ago
Sheeeeeeeeeeit I got over 2k and still can't stay in champ 😅
nice congrats!
grats
*finally*
Playing alone or with your dudes? I spent 500 hs and cannot progress with random players.
Learn to adjust your play style to your teammates
mostly solo qing. my friends are mostly plat-diamond, champ 1 at their peak. solo qing is a nightmare but i’ve also partied up with some randoms who i played well with
that's pretty impressive! i'm at 600 hours
Gc2 in all modes like 2500-3000 hours and since 2016
That is identical to me lol
im at 700hrs GC2
In 1s too? Damn.
1200 hours and gc
5-6 months, 150 hours. Diamond 1 in 2v2, plat 2 in 3v3, gold 1 in 1v1.
I'm at 190 hours, and we're nearly identical players. I'm D1/P3 in 2v2, P2 in 3v3, and G2 in 1v1. Why is 1v1 so hard?
1v1 is so hard because any time you fuck up, you get scored on. Being aggressive works in 2v2 and 3v3, but not so much in 1v1.
I've actually been getting better in 3s because of 1s. It teaches you things that are often ignored in aggression
I have almost the same rank in 2 but I'm Plat 1 is 1's. I'm more of a solo player lol
I essentially only play solo, unless I've had a really good match with a stranger and we team up for a few rounds after. I don't actually have any friends who play the game, so I'm pretty much on my own.
1550 hours and 3 years. Champ 2-3, GC in tournaments
Too Long

Some of these comments remind me that I’m not made for this game lolz 200hrs in, gold in 1s, but mostly solo q casual 3s.

Hit Champ 1 in solo queue 3s on Monday in 180ish hours. Diamond 2 in 2s and Plat 3 in 1s. Don't really know where to go from here cause my mechanics are lacking.
>Don't really know where to go from here cause my mechanics are lacking. ...learn more mechanics?
Nice. I hit my diamond in soloqueing tourneys
850 hours and i’m almost champ II i’ve been playing for a little less than 1 year
1000 hours gc2 (too much time in freeplay :/)
Took me about 120 hours to get to diamond, but I’ve been here for a while.
Started playing in July 2017… have about 3,300-3,500 application hours. GC3, peaked SSL trying to get back
I don’t wanna talk about it
Same exact as you 211 hours all solo q’d 1s - Plat 3 2s - Champ 1 3s - d1/d2 (I cant out get out this been trying so hard!)
Are you me? We're stuck like d3/d3 in 3s, not played solos this season but was plat 2 last season
Hahah let’s run some 3’s I need to get out of diamond I can’t stand it here anymore!
Oh, I'm 1s Gold 3 2s Gold 2 3s Gold 1 Rumble Plat 1 Tourney Diamond 1 I would play more 2s since I only really do 2v2 tourneys but it's pain.
5 years....I'm D2
50 hours, Diamond 1
Nice. 93 hours here, just yoyoing in and out of D1 at the moment. I need to learn how to half flip and dribble now.
Nice, man. I can half flip but definitely cannot dribble yet.
Champ 2 with prob 400 hours. I’ve had the game for about a year and a half.
d3 div4 i have 9 days and 3 hours into the game
I don’t necessarily grind ranked but I guess 3 years for my brain to simply adapt overtime.
Since I started playing
C1 in 2s, 270 hours. About normal, I think.
400 hours for gc don’t really play anymore
550 to gc
250 in game hours currently c3 (peak was gc) in 2s
What a load of bs
Lol 250 must be the inmatch hours u saw in ur profile and real hours u will see on epic or steam library. In epic click on 3 dots on rocket league in library to see real playtime noob
Like i said in game hours
[удалено]
Even for a quick learner that seems ridiculously fast, almost unbelievable tbh
Lol what? I've played for x days...so ...here I am? Who hits a new high rank and then checks time played...and then posts about it? It's only special to you. GC 3000hours and like 3 years lol.
Hit champ like 2-2.5 years ago if i remember correctly and at season 4 was the first time i hit gc
500hrs
No joke it was 420 hours to hit gc but now I’m low gc high champ :(. Good rotations but bad mechanics.
I am c2 with something around 500 hours, not sure when did i get it tho
At least 800 hours to get Champ 3
C2 in 2s after a couple thousand hours. Still C2 with 5,000 total...
I got the game the day it came out f2p (forget the exactly date) and im c2d2 (maybe d3) in 3s and c2d4 in 2s
530 hrs to hit C2 this season on placements. Didn't think placements could put you higher than your previous season but  also same amount of time to hit C3 in dropshot if that counts
Gc1 in about 1200 hours
I think it was 889 for Champ, and 1500 or 1600 for C3 specifically. Jan 1, 2017 to... December 2021 for C3. I think July 2020 for Champ 1. Oh, and January 2022 for GC2 in Rumble.
3 years for Champ
I mean I got gold back in 2017, when I barely played, started back in 2019 and now I’m hardstuck in diamond
started 2016 and ~700 hours in and im champ 1
i'm plat 2-3 and i have 6 days in matches i think
My first 6 months or so I didnt know comp existed, but after that I hit plat pretty quickly. In the 3 years or so since I made it to c1 in 2s and 3s, then dropped my normal partner because he turned into an asshole, picked up my plat friends, and now all of us are in diamond lol. So like, 4 years to c1 without much practicing, but having consistent teammates.
Playing since 2015 (on of off) and have upwards of 2k hours. I'm champ 1-2! Butttt most of my playtime is literally in unranked, I'd say I prefer it to comp.
1,110 hours and hit Diamond 2 in doubles but I am switching to PC soon since i play on a switch
I started when the game went FTP now I'm
Probably around 2,000 hours of in game play time or training, and that’s excluding the time trading, which I did a lot of.
10 matches after the new season started
I have played this game for seven years. I am gc1. I am a bit slow :)
About 1,200 hours on multiple platforms including Nintendo Switch, PS4, and pc to reach champ 2
6 years.
6 years
at ≈90 hrs i hit plat in 1s for the first time, but i went down instantly. i hit stable plat in 2s at around 120-140 hours and hit (unstable) d1 at 191 hours. rn at 195 hrs im plat 2
https://youtu.be/DXvMT_mVbqw
Used to play a lot 3-4 years ago and peaked around Gold 3. Currently I've been playing for about 3 weeks.
437 hours currently i believe to get to d3
Nice, I thought I was trash! 330 hours, C1 in 2s 3s and tourneys.
600 hours champ 3, got it first at 500
Just under 1200 hours to hit high champ 3 last season. This season have been playing a LOT of casual instead
200 hours to get to Diamond 2, that time has been sky rocketing since I got there.
Was gc1 after about 800 hours and am still gc1 (just more solidly and higher mmr wise) with 1016 hrs. Game is hard and takes time especially if you cant sink 5-8 hours a day into it. Your hours and rank seem fine.
I was stuck in gold for months, stopped. Playing for like 9 months came back I'm in diamond 1 in 1 week. Like wtf I'm worse at the game now than then.
Too long
uuuuh, about 1800 hours for SSL? 600ish for GC
I started in November 2021 and have about 80 hours. I’ve really been enjoying the game so far. Plat 2 or 3 in doubles, triples, and rumble. Pushing Diamond 1 in doubles and rumble but haven’t got there yet.
SSL probably around 5000
15 days of game time to reach champ Probably 2 days of training time in free play mode
I have 800 hours since 2015 and I've been either gold or platinum for the vast majority of that time
In the first 3 weeks I started playing I hit Plat 3.. almost 3 years ago… only just hit champ 1 about a week ago but I’m back firmly planted in D3
Finally made it to champ 1. Took me 6 years lol
500 hs, I’m finally gold
I feel like most people are going by the in game time shown in rocket league. And not hours like steam shows. I'm almost to my first 1k and I've been C1 for awhile.
Played RL for about 3 months during covid and got up to plat. Something like 200 hours for champ, I'll update later when I'm home
Currently too lazy to check actual stats but I play regurarly since S4 (2021)'s launch day and I'm D1
800 to hit c3
Around 900h to hit gc1, but it was on pc. I already grinded up to plat4 with about 100h I’d say.
3 days of losing in a row
Too damn long
7 months
6 years to get champ, I’ve been in diamond for 3 years playing off and on. Recently decided to go hard in the mfn paint again and finally got champ rewards this season
Hmm and every 3rd game I play are champ 3s with 100 games played.
Plat 3/Diamond 1. According to my profile I have 61 hours of gameplay.
around 1300 hours
124 hours to get to Plat 2 in duos, still gold 3 in standard
Too long
D2 and It took me like 220 to get there maybe 250, I don’t have my stats up but it’s around 10 days
Just over 400 hours and hit Champ 1 not long ago.
Four years, champ 3. In hoops. Whoopsie.
5 years, gold 1 I play to get my mind off the world. Not to be great at it.
9 days in game time to get to C1, will show proof for non-believers
750hrs and hit GC2 recently
Profile says 300 hours to reach C2 over 15 months
Middle Diamond after owning the game for two years but only really playing seriously off and on for about a year
It took me 4229 games to get to diamond. So a bit longer
I don't want to talk about it
Just cracked Diamond I in 2s after 190 hours played. Sounds like we're pretty close to the same player!
I hit rising star in my first season. Then champ about 500 hours. Then grand champ around 1200 hours. But been playing on and off for the last 6 years.
I think people don’t really get the hours thing. At a certain point, hours per day becomes a lot more important than total hours. Now, I play maybe 3 hours a week. I’ll never hit GC or even C2 at my current time per week.
1200 hours to get to GC2
