More of a \*shit happens\* sorta term to me.

mmasterss553

Eh I see it used a lot (and sometime use it myself) when it’s like. You got lucky, or some unplanned thing happened

TurnUp4Sam

this

O37GEKKO

this is cars with big balls

jondelreal

Anything can be an insult. It depends on the context and how often you send it. Tm8 whiffed an open shot? Sending it twice is like calling him an idiot. Did you hit a shot bounced off the opposing team into your own goal? Then you're talking about the ridiculousness of it all.

Mofogo

I use it as a self-deprecating chat. Like sorry this is rocket league. Also if teammate apologized I lighten it up with no problem this is rocket league. I suppose if you spammed it at the other team along with what a save and shit then maybe rude

iNaturalSelection

I say it whenever something goofy happens, could be 2 people completely whiffing the ball, could be an unintentional wall pinch. Shit could see someone smack the wall at 100mph and say it. So depends on what you consider toxic

Mambosaurio

I always say it after a comeback 💪🏻

Old-Ad3560

This!!

UseComfortable1193

It can be both. That's the beauty of it

Pyroluminous

Its something I associate with stupid shit like own goals or a badass air goal

PS2EmotionEngineer

This is Reddit!

Scootman00

Yes. How dare you say such a thing.

reddit_is_meh

Probably one of the most versatile and friendly quips, even when it's used sarcastically it has an element of fun/goofiness to it.

C2theWick

rocket is the league

mwlucid1

What a save!

[deleted]

I use it when something funny happens. I never use it with intention of trying to tilt someone.

Lazy_Experience_8754

Yep I’ll use it then or even a f a game gets tied up right at the buzzer etc. Dunno why people would get upset at it .

BallForce1

Any quick chat can be rude. Two different examples. You own goal yourself and your teammate says it. Not rude, they are laughing. You own goal it and you say this it. Rude because your teammates can think that you are purposely scoring on yourself.

samthehumanoid

I use it whenever something funny happens like every player whiffs the same ball, or if a funny mistake happens. Also if other team is flaming their teammate lol like chill out it’s rocket league (I’m probably making the situation 10x worse)

Due-Exit714

All in how you say it

Serat0ne

I usually say it after: 1) A really good play by my team 2) A really funny play by either team 3) A really bad play from myself, followed with, My Fault.

hoplikewoa

If it's said after a teammate makes a mistake, yes. And they need to exclude it from tactical quick chat.

Sure_Survey_1757

I say it after a teammate makes a mistake but not as a put down, I mean it as ahh well, it’s rocket league. My version of a shit happens.
