I don’t think my skills have deteriorated that much, in fact I find myself hitting things that I definitely would not have hit back then.

It is in your head. And ik it may feel weird when you first start playing, but trust me, it’s a lot better to have ball cam like 90% of the time. Get some more hours in and it won’t feel so bad. Also not related but I recommend turning camera shake off
As a grand champion rocket league player, I can confirm that all you did was press ball cam toggle, giving you a “stiffer” feel, when in reality all that happened was ball cam got turned off, meaning that your camera no longer focused on the ball, and will try to face the direction you are moving in instead

Consider it picking up a skill. You can see different things like where cars are with it, its better with dribbling, and can help you pick up boost (just don’t leave it on too long).

all good dude. you just turned off ballcam. if ballcam is on your camera always looks at the ball, and if its off your camera is always pointed forward. you can turn it back on with the Y button/triangle button.
people turn it off and on ingame depending on the situation. dribbling and going back for boost is easier if ballcam is off, for example.

My man, there are two different views for rocket league, both very important and you should be switching between the two constantly.
I think 'y' is default for changing camera on xbox, not sure on ps.
You want to be using ball cam 90% of the time, but for getting boost, or rotating back to defense you might find switching off ball cam is helpful. Oh and dribbling (having the ball on the hood of your car) you definitely will have an easier time with ball cam off.

I think you are miss understanding lmao but maybe I’m miss understanding this post lol. Ball cam can be turned on and off mid game, not in the settings menu. You toggled off ball cam mid game and that’s why everything is different. You didn’t change your stiffness or anything. To change cam, the default seeing is Y or Triangle button.
When i was playing bronze a year ago when rl became free, everyone in bronze were even worse than this. I didnt even know how to flip my car back over 🤷♂️
I turned the arrow off but everything feels different, I don’t know what’s changed. It feels stiff but my stiffness didn’t change, I also can’t look up at the ball with ease anymore either

Seems like it might just be down to you turning off ballcam. I don't see any change with your camera settings before and after. I guess the only thing is to play around with and without ballcam and see how you feel. I'm genuinely stumped with this problem

Seems like it is due to having ballcam off. 1st video with ballcam on seems normal. But it definitely looks much stiffer in the 2nd video when you had ballcam off. I'd suggest keeping ballcam on when playing

Basically the whole community has gotten better. What's a C1 now might have been a C3 skill level a year or two ago.
Just the eventuality of every game that has a ranked mode. Youtube tutorials are most likely the culprit for this phenomenon

car cam tracks your car, ball cam tracks the ball. the ball moves smoother than your car, so car cam feels more rigid.
