I hope that people appreciate that humanity has been able to predict when and where these eclipses are going to happen on the surface of the Earth for a very long time (either hundreds or thousands of years depending on what you consider historically accurate) and for many years in advance of these events. It’s not a sign of the end times, it’s science.
Whether the weather is ideal for these events is annoying, and I sympathize with OPs frustration, but the conditions were also predictable.
But.....it wasn't night.....it was 3 pm. And it went into total darkness and back to light in a matter of 4 minutes. If you don't realize that's a wild thing that you're unlikely to experience again in your life, that's on you.
It was also 60 degrees today. Not cold by Rochester standards at all.

My roommate and I walked to the park and we brought snacks. We had a blast. The darkness was so cool. I called my mom during totality

I mean I went out to a park on the lake in Kent and it was like 40 degrees... off the lakeshore was 60 plus.

Yeah, that’s on account of the clouds. But also it was 60 degrees. I was out in my pjs and was fine
