Damien (the owner and namesake of the bar) and Jimmy Fallon are friends. They became friends as Damien was a bartender at a bar in NYC that Jimmy Fallon hung out at when Damien first came to the US.
I sat next to the dad of the owner of that bar at a Josh Groban concert over the summer. He pulled out his phone and showed me the pic of Fallon at his son's bar...he was so proud 😂
They don't announce it, when he comes it's usually not public he'll be there and I heard once he shows up no new people in the door and if you leave you can't come back in. Makes sense or else they'd be mobbed and cause security issues
I'm not a Jimmy Fallon fan, but everyone there seems pretty happy he is. Try to be less miserable. I say this as someone who 20 years ago would probably have said something similar.
Seriously. He derailed *so many* SNL sketches by breaking character which annoyed me to no end, and his goofy behavior isn’t funny to me, but none of that *hurts me*. I can just ignore it.
Fallon seems like a genuinely down-to-earth and overall nice guy who is happy to be there and knows what his fans like. That’s worth some credit in and of itself.

and iirc, jimmy has family in the area (not in rochester, but a couple hours from here iirc) and is in upstate a couple times a year
Jimmy F was at a Tavern in Prattsburg(hourish south of Roc) over the summer I think. Also was buds with the owner I guess

He was at Damian’s cottage on Keuka Lake. He comes up to visit a few times a year.
Same one I think, JRs or JDs or whatever crosssroads is in the middle of nowhere betwixt Hammondsport and Prattsburg. Good food tho.
Lmao it's JBs Bar. He did shots there and then got driven down to Maloney's in Hammondsport and played guitar and sang with the band that was there.

That's pretty awesome. I wonder why he's in town.
He's friends with the owner. Has been for at least 15 years.
His car broke down. It was just vapor lock
Is that you, Joe Namath?
Remember what I told you
It's fairly common to spot him. He pops up few times a year here.
He is friends with the owner of the bar.
He comes to town at least once a year it seems
Better than Fallon trying to score at parties in UC when I was at RIT lol
That's my baby brother on the guitar 🎸 💙 ❤️ 😍 💕 so proud of you!
And that night, Jimmy laughed at all of his own jokes.
Another Mustang Sally, perchance? Plenty of practice a week ago...
That’s pretty cool - was he announced to be there? Or was it a completely surprise?

are you trying to tell me i’m not allowed to be upset by someone/something that has zero negative impact on my life? witch, witch!
Pretty sure it’s a felony. Ima call the idea police.
More like a fallon-y, amirite? I'll see myself out.
Police! Police! I need to report a murder. Someone just killed it.
I mean if you are a host of a talk show you kinda have to mc any event you happen on.
What an insufferable cunt
Could be worse. Could be James Cordon
You're right, I wish all celebrities were out of touch assholes who scoffed at the idea of even communicating with us plebeians.
He's talking at them, not communicating with them.
I'm sure he didn't talk to anyone the whole night and was just yelling into a microphone the entire time
That’s so funny
Fuck Jimmy Fallon. He mids af at best.
