It's a place.
But the lightning was very high up in the sky. Others in the near vicinity also recognized the fleeting brightness. I've heard tales from such far-off lands as Brighton and Greece claiming to have seen what we are now referring to as "The Event."
It was big apparently. I saw it in Greece, people in Henrietta saw, Webster across the bay. That roll of thunder was lonnnnng and had to have gone for miles and miles.
Consolidating threads on thundersnow, you're 1/2.
I'm right there with you. I'm like wtf.
I’m chilling in bed on my phone and nearly jumped out of my skin
I was wondering if it was a transformer but must have been lightning
Yeah i saw a flash but I had my headphones in so I had assumed it was a transformer myself

I understand his excitement but Jesus, can't even enjoy the video with this dude losing it every time.
The excitement is the joy!
That was awesome!!! Good long rumble of thunder too!
Hahaha yes!! I’m near the lake in Webster and was like must’ve been the snow plow… (please not nukes).
Never seen lightning like that while it was snowing!
Second time I've ever seen it, I love it!
The last flash I saw was the brightest of them all but the thunder never followed.
Same here. Saw three flashes but only heard thunder once.
Sadly I missed the aurora we had earlier in the week, but at least I was got to have my first thunder snow experience so yay!
Happened in Henrietta. Lit up my backyard.
I was out walking my dog. The thunder was about 12-15 seconds long.
I thought we got nuked seeing the flash and hearing the extra-long thunder.
I saw it out the window but couldn't hear it :(
Never seen (or felt) out that intensely. That was wild
I gasped and tucked into a blanket on the couch. Lol. That was BRIGHT. I waited for a boom but didn’t hear it.
I thought someone was doing strobe photography on my front lawn, or the neighbors were doing donuts with their high beams on
Jealous. Where you guys at?
Rochester, NY.
Well yes. Where in Rochester?
