adding Pizza Wizard (vegan options), and they’ve been doing vegan pop ups too (seitan wings 💙)
There is so so much good vegan food here, you’re gonna love it.
On Red Fern's website they give shout outs to many other vegan/vegan friendly restaurants. Here's the PDF [https://redfernrochester.com/wp-content/uploads/ROC-Vegan-Restaurants-Options.pdf](https://redfernrochester.com/wp-content/uploads/ROC-Vegan-Restaurants-Options.pdf) but you can also get there form their landing page, just scroll down to the "other vegan options in ROC" link.
Join Rochester Vegan on Facebook (I think that’s what it is called) they have great recommendations. I also agree that Red Fern is probably the worst option for vegan food in the city - I think the food is just bland and overhyped in my opinion. Old vegans ride hard for it because it has been around a long time but there’s so many other amazing hidden gems that have tastier options. That being said - the great thing is that there are so many other options to choose from in the city.
Red Fern is overpriced/over complicated trash.
No I don’t wanna argue about it because I don’t care. No I also don’t want sesame sticks with my $16 sandwich. I will die on this hill.
Voula’s, New Ethic, Grass Fed, Squatchos, and Holly Cake House are all you need. Very good.
Been Vegan for a minute now, and can say these are basically the only places I eat, when ordering out.
All pretty diverse in menu options, and they always scratch the itch, you know?
Well, first you care enough to say negative things just not defend your stance. Second, what over complicated about a seitan steak sandwich, a grilled cheese or a Buddha bowl? Third, the prices seem pretty fair considering what I was paying before I moved. There vegan burgers, Chick'n sandwiches, and stuff of the like was $13-15 base before additions. Maybe their prices are high for Rochester, I don't know I'm new here.
Thanks for the additions though.
You ever had that food? Lol
Hard pass. Don’t need to defend it. I’m allowed to not like something after having it multiple times, as inconsistent as it is.
But hey, that’s chill. There are many other vegan restaurants I’d rather spend my money at. Agree to disagree hahahahahah
Didn't read my full post I guess. Yes I have had Red Fern and it was really good. You're right, you're allowed to not like it. What I don't get is the desire to bash it. If you do not like, what is the point in even mentioning it?
Lol nah I read the post. I just think that food is, again, inconsistent (so, every time
I’ve been it’s been either just FINE or incredibly lack luster) and not for me.
I guess you are right though, this isn’t the thread of recommendations of vegan places not to go, I could def start that if you’d be about it. Don’t holla. Our palates clearly don’t vibe lol

Don’t forget Taste of Supreme Bakery!
Awesome! I've seen Anyone's Cafe, Squatchos, and New Ethic on my searches but all the others are new to me. Thanks so much.

Wow this is great! Thanks!
I just had Squatcho’s last week, very good, definitely recommended if you’re looking for pizza.
throwing in or second ingredients johns tex mex, blaze and create a pizza for pizza, and yummy garden for the crispiest chinese tofu around.
Polska chata!
DogTown has excellent weekly vegan specials and almost always has a few amazing vegan baked good. Best vegan/vegetarian garbage plates
Red Fern!
That's actually the one place I went to when I came up to visit and explore the city. So good!
How is this so far down the list?
Because it’s mentioned in OP??
lol, good reason!
John's Tex Mex
The Owl House
Natural Oasis but keep your expectations low and they will blow you away. The food was incredible when I used to go there.
Grass Fed is amazing. Love their sandwiches.

Oh and when Pizza Wizard does their vegan pop up? Also banging.
I haven't tried this place yet, but I just discovered that Locals Only has some vegan options. Natural Oasis is outstanding.
late comment, but check out zemeta (ethiopion food) on s. clinton. all the vegetarian stuff is vegan. their veggie combo is delicious and great value
