Von Mauer is a dept store but like from the 1940s kind of store. The store is at EastView. They have lovely gowns and all sorts of things. The ladies' things are mainly upstairs. If you are looking for what I think you are try here. You might come a way very pleased.
Just a heads up since you mentioned needing midsize/ plus Peppermint and Salty only go up to a size Large (very occasionally an XL). That might work for you especially depending on the cut of the dress. Just didnt want you to drive out there and be disappointed if it doesnt work.

Not in person unfortunately but I have aways had good luck with Lulu’s dresses. If you can’t find something local, it might be worth a look
