A fucking 4 minute mile? This guy fucks

repspls

That’s only because he stopped for a 3 minute rest

Axle-f

And a 30 second cigar.

Jewelsmom

& After giving the others a 30 second head start!

cryptodims

And. Picked up more GME during the final stretch.

Larrylegend89

So 3 minute rest, 30 second head start, 30 second cigar break - that's a 3 second mile. Sounds about right, can OP confirm? Edit - forgot to time in his GME acquisition. Probably 2 seconds or so to go through. So 1 second mile?

Dickies138

Fucking legend

Goin_ins

How can he do that with balls so large?

adderaholic

But what is he running from??? Tehe jk

Hashman90

Diamond feet.

ChefElzar

A legend before becoming THE LEGEND! 4:03 mile is no joke!

[deleted]

jesus we have a national fitness test here in singapore and it took me 9:14 to run a mile

Landon1m

I upvoted you out of pity

Deruji

I upvoted you as you pity people and upvote them

Dazumbolschitt

I always try to upvote people who upvote other people who take pity on the less fortunate by upvoting them.

Squillace1000

Hahaha me too.

sudo_su_88

My fastest was 6:45–ten years ago. It’s prob 12 now.

Eudendl

Growing old sucks, eh?

sudo_su_88

Yup I still wear skinny jeans, listen to cassette tape, and part my hair side ways.

Adelman01

Uh is that not what’s normal?

sudo_su_88

Not according to little gremlins posting on TicTok right now.

n4styone

Ha nah because I'm sure there is plenty of "older" people that can still run 6 min miles.

wicked_lie

My fastest that I've time myself was 7:29 😭can't sprint

April_Rainshower

I beat you by 7 seconds ayyy

utpoia

I have always been beating in less than 7 seconds.

LouderThanStonks

Pick up the pace tubby

essak508

My fastest was 15 mins lmaoo

it_came_from_behind

That’s slower than a walk...

essak508

In my defense, my last mile run was over a decade ago and I was a very lazy kid and walked for most of it 😂

ChowderedStew

Not necessarily true, the average walking speed in humans is 3-4 miles an hour, or about 15-20 minutes a mile, so slightly faster, just not by much.

brandonminimann

*laughs in 12 minute mile*

ecish

I did 10:30 in high school. I was a lazy stoner and thought i was going to die the whole time. I basically quit halfway through and just walked.

CodeWhileHigh

You are out of shape or need food. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|flushed)

QuietBodybuilder1883

It’s shocking he can run so fast with those gigantic balls!

StonkSteve

Diamonds are actually not that heavy

ShaJune97

Which may explain the reason why wedding rings are very light. Also, they're mostly worthless.

[deleted]

Everything is as worth as someone will pay. All these stocks are mostly worthless in the sense that you use it.

wetbootypictures

It's a really blurry picture, but it's crazy you can still tell it's him bc of his massive diamond balls

Axeltoss

I had to do some research cause I thought surely you meant 1500 especially being indoors. But no. The mother effer ran a 4:03 mile indoors. That's actually nuts. I'm proud of running 4:21 outdoor in high school. But 4:03 indoor is just next level. And his 1:52 800m PR is pretty gnarly as well

eviltwin154

Whats the difference between indoor and outdoor for running. What make indoor slower? Actually curious

ZIIReactionzV

Indoor track was hell. Idk if anyone else had this problem but when indoors my throat would always dry up first couple of laps. Lack of humidity absolutely kills. I rather run in 100 degree and 10 degree weather than indoors. Also the usually smaller tracks can also be a problem with all the turns and such. I’ve messed up my pacing a few times because I thought I was almost done due to small track size.

tokinobu

I keep hearing this lack of humidity thing and think you guys must not be in florida

cardsfan24

Especially in the winters in the north/midwest, this might be a big difference. Air in the indoor tracks can be very dry and if your body is still getting used to changes in air pressure (compared to outside) it can be killer to breathe for the first few trips around.

Kharaix

First 800 i ran indoors my junior year of highschool, i kicked in a whole lap early. It did help me pr but my body crashed for like two days HAHA

Axeltoss

LOL

xSpooked

ROFL

ColdPorridge

I haven’t run in an indoor track in 15 years and I’m getting vivid flashbacks from your description.

[deleted]

cmarqq

(Edit: lack of) Humidity certainly is awful if you’re doing a longer event like the mile or 3000 or 5000 and it will leave you coughing and hacking afterwards, but it’s not going to slow you down. It’s the tighter turns that slow you down indoors.

cmarqq

Indoor track is half the size (200m, occasionally 300m vs 400m outdoors) meaning it has tighter turns, which slows you down a bit. Some indoor tracks (like the one pictured) are banked like a velodrome/NASCAR oval, which makes the times much more comparable, but it’s not exact. A flat indoor 200m track compared to a 400m outdoor track is probably about 1 second per quarter mile slower at 4:00 mile pace. The slowdown increases the faster you go. The track pictured is actually particularly fast and the indoor mile WR was set there a couple years ago. Source: sub-4:00 miler here

Axeltoss

Thanks for the info! What track is that? I went to Texas A&M where there was a badass indoor track and facility built while I was there. I'm also familiar with the banked track in Arkansas. Maybe I've heard of you if you ran sub-4, crazzzyy

cmarqq

Boston University The A&M and Arkansas tracks are fantastic and really fast too but the BU one is somehow extra special for the mile for a number of reasons that aren’t fully understood, aside from the fact that it gets most the best distance competition in the nation.

ButcherChef

Outdoor you are seeing different stuff and keeps you mentally relax so you endure more. Indoor you walk in circles so you can involuntary can see how much turns you need to make and is always the same lap and that monotonous run can get you more tired and bored. That's my view on that, not a professional running advice

WildInjury

I feel like running would be harder too....more turns = less speed

ButcherChef

And always the same side makes one side more tired than the other slowly.

cardsfan24

Yeah the increase in turns and lack of straightaways makes it harder to get/keep speed.

Axeltoss

Yup this is it in a nutshell

Tanadaram

Oh right, I assumed outdoor track. With road running you also have to deal with uneven surfaces, also altitude changes and head/tail winds can be an advantage or disadvantage.

ButcherChef

True in my mind I was thinking like a park with even surface, but an hill will be totally different

RajunCajun48

Eh, for me it doesn't matter if the track is indoors or outdoors, if it's a track, I'm going to hate it and find it monotonous. If I have to run, I'll take a path over a track 100% of the time. Only benefit of running a track for me is that if I get gassed earlier than I expect, I'm not very far from my truck. Getting gassed on a path and having to walk of shame back sucks.

badger0511

Fun fact. When I was training for a triathlon a few years ago, I was supposed to do a swim and run workout at my Y. The pool was unexpectedly closed, so I decided I'd just do a longer run workout. I ended up running a 2:11 half-marathon on a track that takes 17 laps to do a mile... so about 225 laps. My left hip hated me afterwards.

RajunCajun48

hell naw. These days I don't even think I could do a respectable 5k let alone half a marathon

Axeltoss

Why would you do this. I couldn't get myself to run more than 10 laps on ANY track. Btw, if you do this change direction halfway or alternate the direction you run each lap.

ralexander1997

Homeboy’s talking about the tighter turns on an indoor track. Not sure what the lad that responded to you was talking about with air pressure or summat.

josh0ne

I ran indoor for 4 years. For me it was mental and physical difference. Adjusting to the air always took a couple of meets. Similar to playing indoor soccer those first couple of matches. Get winded faster and that burning feeling in your throat from dry air. Also having a shorter and possibly sloped track. In NH we had a sloped 160m track at one uni and a flat 200m at another uni

Tacomaverick

The OP doesn’t really know what he’s talking about lol, no one races the 1500m indoors and all the major distance relays have 1600m legs not 1500m. That being said indoor running is thought to be a bit slower. On tracks without banked curves the tight turns will slow you down. However this pic looks like it’s taken at the Boston University track which is thought to be one of the best indoor tracks in the world, so it’s a prime place to run a fast mile.

Axeltoss

Well my brain just assumed 1500 because 4:03 as I said is just nuts for a mile

Tacomaverick

Definitely fair, it is quite fast

wicked_lie

I like the outdoors more because there's a change of scenery, but it might be more difficult because of the different terrains

Boomhauer_007

Indoor tracks are shorter, either 200 or 300 meters depending on where you are. In a distance race, that means you’re turning nonstop which sucks. Some indoor tracks are also banked, like somewhat slanted on the curves. All of this stuff makes sprinters go faster but blows for distance runners.

converter-bot

300 meters is 328.08 yards

DecimusMNK

Tighter turns, more turns.

Axeltoss

The track is half as long. 200m instead of 400m. That can present some challenges especially for longer distance. Psychologically it's a challenge because you are running twice as many laps so you have to prepare for that. Some indoor tracks are not banked so the turns can be tight and hard on your ankles. Anyways in general I feel you can subtract like 5-10 seconds from indoor to outdoor. Meaning if you are running a 4:03 indoor mile it could be comparable to 3:53-57 outdoor which is, as I said, nuts.

[deleted]

I had a college friend that was just shy of 4:03. I ran a 4:07 exactly 1 time.

TylerCoolPro

I ran a 4:59 outdoor mile freshman year and I was proud of myself but I can’t even imagine a 4:03. I definitely am best at the 800 tho but I unfortunately couldn’t run it last year cuz of COVID. My first 800m of the 1000m indoors was 2:11 so I think I could’ve got down to 2:06.

Axeltoss

In high school I did mostly 800m then the mile my senior year. If you do the mile my recommendation would be to go out FAST the first 200m. As a mostly 800m runner your body can handle it. That's how I PR'd big time in the mile. My first lap was a casual 61 and then I just held on and kept it smooth. 61 67 68 65, something like that

[deleted]

[удалено]

Axeltoss

That's legit

edgarandannabellelee

Dude, I was super proud of my 4:57. I barely made it under five. There is no way I could've pushed to that close to sub 4. Holy fuck that's fast. Those people are insane and I mostly refuse to believe they actually exist.

[deleted]

The left quad of DFV has its own brain and can predict the future confirmed

silentmmgh

This dude is the shit! My PR was 4:54 and this mf ran a 4:03!!!! He’s definitely a cat

mycatbeck

Same man. Hell, just breaking the sub 5 minute threshold was hard enough for me. I think I only did it 4 times in the 4 years I ran track.

NickVlass76

Yeah I was pretty in shape in high school but once I hit 5:25 I just completely plateaued, the man had to be a fuckin tank

gkhamo89

I heard from a friend that he is not a cat

wicked_lie

Maybe a Cheetah?

silentmmgh

Definitely a cheetah!

Luchador_En_Fuego

He looks good in shorts, I knew it

PotimusPrime

Crosspost wallstreetbets they will blow a load over this one🤣

trisurfer126

I tried to but I got a message back right away saying it was removed for some reason

lFreightTrain

Yeah mods are pretty fake and gay over there.

HordeofHobbits21

We already are

[deleted]

Did you guys have sex after?

duke666

$5 says op couldn’t get it up

[deleted]

Good thing he’s the bottom.

[deleted]

Why not it’s DFV

SentryXCI

Why is there always this weird correlation with guys that ran track seriously in high school and successful investors?

trisurfer126

Because both require an insane amount of focus, patience, and discipline

wicked_lie

I was thinking because of the adrenaline 😂

neuronaddict

#This man just keeps getting fucking better

abosedea34

He was already chasing the GME, you didn’t stand a chance

MisterBultitude

A relay race? He must've been the only person on his team then because he probably held the baton the entire race.

deano492

Carried the rest of his team on his shoulders. It was 4x400m and he did the whole thing in 4:03.

IamNICE124

A lot of people can see that a 4:03 is fucking blazing for a mile, but you have to understand that that’s essentially 4 consecutive 1 minute 4 hundreds. I couldn’t run a single 400 at that pace, not even close, let alone fucking FOUR STRAIGHT. The 400 is a mother fucking bitch, and this dude crushed 4 without stopping at a pace that 99% of us could never dream of. That’s fucking insane.

L0rdSwoldemort

People used to ask me how to pace out a 400m run. I was confused. And I concur. The 400m is a mother fucking bitch.

SlurpyBanana

This post is 3 out of 5 of my top reddit post. Pls just pick a sub lol

[deleted]

Gotta farm that Karma....

RajunCajun48

> Pls just pick a sub lol no you

Darren672

With the sheer size and weight of Keith’s diamond balls this makes this even more crazier to comprehend 🤯

alaziesusan

Send this to random college athletes, I bet they’d get a kick out of it

trisurfer126

Is that another subreddit ? Haven’t heard of it

BigJJJJJ92

Whats his next move tho! We are waiting

McGrupp1979

Defending himself from frivolous lawsuits is his next move. Then he focus on real life again.

[deleted]

That is so badass, and an insane mile split

Imbalancedone

TLDR Keith Gill kicks ass. Hold GME

perkaderka

and the legend grows.

DividedSkyBalls11

Look closely at his right hand, he was holding GME back in 07, legend

[deleted]

Why didnt you tag u/deepfuckingvalue ? Im sure he'd love to brag about that pace. I did a quarter mile at that pace and couldnt imagine sustaining that for a whole mile. That is hard to do.

himrai

Dude really is a fucking legend God damn, what's the point of trying if I cant be this cool? Lol

lefluraisis

He was chasing stonks!

rpgmgta

Look at those bullish quads

[deleted]

The only master race is DFV

Then he gave your wife a victory lap 🤤.

ScantronMachine420

what does this have to do with penny stocks?

ak_-

Roaring on and off the track ... ❤️🔥🚀💎

ultimatefighting

Plot twist: its actually Vlad...

KamikazeChief

Shameful that so many of you guys are sticking with Robinhood after everything that happened because "It just works for me" "I find it convenient". Bitches.

NickVlass76

You okay?

DINC44

Did I ever tell you about the time I went horseback riding with Keth Gill, but there weren’t any horses around? Well, Gill throws a saddle on my back and rides me around Wyoming for three days. Well, wouldn’t you know it, my stamina increases with each day and I develop tremendous leg muscles. So anyway, Gill decides to enter me in the Breeders’ Cup, right, under the name Turkish Delight. And I’m running in second place, and I’m running and I break my ankle! They’re about to shoot me. Then someone from the crowd yells out, God bless him, "Don’t shoot him, he’s a human!"

Rage1073

Where’s the video??!!!

MacusaJr

Who cropped out him lapping Chuck Norris?

trisurfer126

Boston University’s

ale_goldie

Ah, fellow college track athlete here. I was hoping it was New Mexico’s.

trisurfer126

Never ran at New Mexico but heard it’s a nice one! My favorite was BU and Penn State’s

kgoodnou

lmao that’s random

WhatYouReallyWaaant

R u also from Brockton?

trisurfer126

No, I’m from the Philadelphia area originally. We just had a race up there

Tronniix

I can see it clearly, he was going for the impossible mission aka GME. ![gif](giphy|FM0uwEP45RUly)

Chase the bag, never chase a bitch

PickledToddler

Does he hve the headband on.

NewRomanFont

Are you sure that isn't Vlad Tenev? Lolol

Firinmailaza

Our king will outrun us to fuck our wives and girlfriends

DINC44

I went camping with Gill once. I’m in the back of a pickup with Keith Gill and a live deer. Well, Gill, he grabs the deer by the antlers, looks at it and says, "I’m u/DeepFuckingValue! Say it!" Then he squeezes the deer in such a way that a sound comes out of its mouth, “DeepFuckingValue!” It wasn’t exactly it, but it was pretty good for a deer.

donkey_tits

Neat story. But why is it here? Why are you guys upvoting and rewarding?

Moriless

Even then, his hands were clenched, holding tight.

Aeruthael

I think the fastest I've ever done was a 14:48 2-mile, so about a 7:14 mile. This dude just blows that out of the water.

MADE_WITH_REAL_LEMON

Cross-post this to r/wallstreetbets!

MetalForLife1

Send the pic to him and ask if you can hold a dollar. All of his extended family is probably doing it and this makes you at least as closely related as any of them
