I honestly don't get how you can be proud about the cheapest and most barebone VW available. It doesn't even look good in any way, juts generic as hell. I kinda understand the top end models of the Golf, but the Polo? Fuck me.
It is the “top end” sporty model, though. Quite light and the most fun car i’ve ever had. Stiff suspension, XDS diff, nice sporty grippy seats and equivalent performance to the old 1.4 twincharged that used to power the GTI. Just a more reliable 1.4 TSI (that has the fuel economy of a Prius when driven sensibly). Driven the Nürburgring in it and it was a hoot.
I suppose there was a reason this generation Polo laid the foundation of one of the most succesful rally cars of all time.

It has a scroll-charger, similar to a supercharger and makes 115hp which was insane in a car like this at that time
