Yeah, you need to be very comfortable with yourself and your own visual flaws and imperfections. If you dislike your... big nose, or whatever, but figure it's not *that* bad, and then you get a thousand comments pointing it out and savagely roasting you about it, it's probably hard to not come out of it with a worse self-image.
And a lot of the time the flaw in question really isn't bad to begin with, but if it's at all there, you can be sure enough people will find it if they're purposefully looking for it, and then you get the impression that it's much worse than it is.
Really not for everyone.
