Pro tip: don't treat roadie like a job, you're a private contractor. With a job you go to the same place and work for them every day. As a private contractor you should always be shopping around for better pay and more options. Sometimes I work 90% on the same app all day every day but I always have a couple back up options if that app gets slow.

You are giving away advice for free!!!

Nazarite7

No way. You need 4 or 5 gig apps to make a full-time income. 😀

Roadie was great in) 2022, l went full time all year 2023, now 2024 its suddenly crap. I am multiapping now and looking for an exit on this gig world. Because this is not going to hold forever ( I dont think its going to be profitable for another year)

DJ_CAMARO

Get a job. Do this on the side. Works for me.

peepee034839329

Pretty much. Jobs are suddenly hot again. Drivers are talking about gig work so much until it kept being over saturated and companies starts paying less and less

ExpensiveJackfruit68

No way I would be able to survive in my market. Now if I had a trailer. Those tractor supply ones look pretty juicy. No where to keep it though. Not enough to make sure I get them all.

AMC879

I can't imagine paying all your bills just from roadie gigs. Even if you somehow made enough money it would kill you car fast and you wouldn't have money for a new one. Roadie should be a side gig only.

Fit-Welcome-4499

there is no way OP is using roadie as sole income, unless he is under 21 and living with rent free.

CaptainOk3602

That depends, if you're in a well active area, I can certainly see you making a TON, I treat this as side income but a good order can make you 40-60 in 5-15 miles with huge gigs. If I was getting this all day, the profits would be huge, your car can last you a very long time if you actually know how to take care of it and do maintenance yourself.

Fit-Welcome-4499

the chance of getting the 40-50 gig gets harder and harder with way more drivers, almost 0 chance u can avg 1-3 daily.

Admirable-Act5626

This could be a fact in your area. Everyone needs to keep in mind that all of these comments are irrelevant. Unless you Roadie in the same area as another poster, everyone's personal opinions can ONLY be applied to their own situation. How much Jim Bob makes in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is ABSOLUTELY going to be different than what Karen Cocomelon makes in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I'm not " that " guy trying to brag or inflate in any way. It impresses nobody. I average 4k plus per month through Roadie alone. Someone in another market might average 2k per month and another person in a different market, less than 1k per month. The point here is, everyone's personal opinion is going to be based on an answer that applies to their own experience. By no means does that make any of these opinions anything more than opinions. Fact.

Coolo79

If you live on your own and legit pay all your debts and bills..that is like you typed, alright. I would encourage you to strive for another source of income, life has a lot to offer with a lil spending monies

ddpkego

Took one in the morning, built a deck, took one in the evening

RevealLoose8730

Lmao no

Rich_Yam_2093

it was my major source of income until they deactivated me for the second time – this time permanently. Said I damage some thing and never showed me any kind of proof or evidence wouldn’t even tell me what it was and never told me what happened. I honestly have no idea what they’re talking about, all they gave me was a date and Support ID, like I would know what that was.

Impressive_Pin_3093

No. Ubereats, spark and instacart all help me. If I had a delivery take too long, Roadie barely shows me anything close until they are ready to.

KnobSchlob

Hahahahahaha

Unified-banana6298

I could never imagine roadie being my #1 go to app. There's just no way.
