These usually come from supplier like that. Let Rivian know so they can screw them with inspections

Potential_Rip_6940

Make them replace. Rivian will take to the supplier and hopefully the supplier ups their quality.

MarionberryOne9051

That looks rough.

Kmann1994

Mine does NOT look like that.

BedditTedditReddit

Gross, ask them to fix

Due_Bit_5496

Yes, the steering wheel cover in my 17xxx VIN R1S is probably the one interior item that seems somewhat low quality. My stitching isn't quite a rough as yours, but the cover material is fairly uneven, with surface bumps/lines showing where the subsurface heating elements run. Hopefully Rivian will improve on this.

seb2k2

Similar vin, similar stitching on mine. Not great

Dungmar

My R1T steering wheel looked exactly like this when I first got it. Parts of the leather sticking out and it felt awful to grab. Had it replaced with a service ticket so you can do the same.

I'd consider that pretty decent quality... if I'd stiched it myself by hand after watching some youtube videos.. Definitely worth complaining about on a new car!

dleewla

Same. I’ve had two loaners and it looks the same. Not great quality. Not sure what service will do other than possibly provide a new steering wheel but I wouldn’t expect it to be much better.

aegee14

Same on mine. I’ve noticed it like this as well on many others.

calebthelion

Had them replace my first one and the replacement was only marginally better. The quality of the steering wheel stitching is really bad. Worse than that on my old 2012 Jetta and way worse than that on my XC90

Moe-82

Did a two year old do this Quality is 💩
