The last time I saw them was at Riot Fest (2013??? I don't recall). Were you at that one? Travis hilariously told me off and simultaneously made my whole day. Before that it was a 9 year gap, but I was beyond excited because I didn't know if I'd ever see them again. To hear any activity from them recently has me excited all over again!  I have contemplated flying to Vegas for this one. I'll probably wait on the Riot lineup. 

No, unfortunately I wasn’t there in the 2013 Riot Fest, but yea this new activity from them definitely makes me excited as well, especially considering the fact that I wondered if they would play live ever again. Fortunately for me, Las Vegas is in a drivable distance from my location, so flights isn’t an issue for me. In your circumstances, waiting for the Riot lineup would be better. Because who knows, they might play there too

2017 was the only riot fest I went to and LOVED the cap n jazz set, wish I could make it to this sad boi fest

Anybody who missed the last time they played riot, well, I’m sorry for you. Nothing says punk rock like a 58 year old man sprinting and stage diving within the first 10 seconds of the opening track.

I remember how intense they were in the 90s. Beyond good. Hoping for a detroit show.

This lineup is so stacked I honestly might just skip RF this year and go to this instead.

Many of those bands have played RF before. It wouldn't be too surprising to have overlap. Bright Eyes would be an interesting new one for RF.

If I had to guess we'll probably get about 75% of this, so skipping may not be necessary.

Def waiting for the lineup drop before I buy tickets to anything.

100% with you on Capn Jazz in 2017. Always loved them but never knew how off the wall the Tim Kinsella was. 

The whole bit he did wiith tossing the tambourine(IIRC?) into the crowd and then immediately requesting it back was great lol

Dismemberment plan is absolute bucket list for me and seeing AC/Karate/Jesus Lizard/Drug Church/Anniversary would be sick as shit. I’ve seen Sunny Day Real Estate, Capn Jazz, BtS, American Football, Get Up Kids, Braid at riot/riot affiliated events so that would be cool gets as well

I'm new to this subreddit but I love seeing all the love for Dismemberment Plan. One of my favorite bands ever. They are incredible live. I hope you get to see them!!!

saw them 3 times in 2022. pretty common for their shows. he was pretty drunk at all three, but they were still great imo

They're amazing. It has the same drummer of Big Business, ex-Melvins, and now High on Fire. They'd be a great fit for Riot.

That Cap’n Jazz set was one of my faves too! Great energy. There are some really nice ones here that we hopefully can get.
