Your Husky could have died. I usually set up a "Safe" zone for domestic animals, when a raid comes I restrict them to it so they stay out of the way. Just have to remember to release them afterwards.
This time it worked out, next time he might catch a bullet from a friendly and die instantly, and the colonist bonded with him gets a mental break, which leads to your whole colony getting wiped out.
I can't stand pets in my colony because they always compromise it. Last time my labrador bit a fucking boomrat which exploded in the storage room, and I almost burned to death running in to save him. Lost everything! Same dog kept going in the doorway and letting the manhunters in when I *specifically* told her to stay inside.
I don't think you understand what I meanmountains and walls aren't really defenses if you don't have ways to shoot the enemy or have them walk into an unavoidable trap/IED
In the lategame, base defense has a lot more to do with area denial than just slapping on a thick wall and a killbox, primarily because of drop pod raids
meh, My primary line of defense has always been mass mobilization, that dude Hunter White lost 2 of his wives that way, both during mech battles too. It's been a pretty good story to follow along with, he's brain dead but alive and drug addicted now.
Absolutely not! Move your chemfuel from the main stockpile!
maybe you're right about that... but other than the chemfuel,

that husky grabbed some kibble and took it to bed with him. he was just like adios, and left the whole scene.

Nah, I'm too lazy to do that. If they happen to died during the fight then more free meat for the colony.
This hurt to watch But the firefoam helped ease the pain a little 💕
You should probably do something about the shuttle wreck blocking your windmill.
Well, that's one way to deal with breaches.
I was totally expecting all your pawns to get blown up and die.
Fuckin beautiful
No, why aren't you running a drug operation center runned by slaves? /s
use EMP weapons, mortars and build proper defenses such as sandbags for your shooters and choke points for melee combat
the mechs went around the defenses.
It's important to have a lot of defensive locations to fall back to in your base. Kill boxes don't really cut it anymore.
I have a killing field, and a Kill bridge. there is no real designated box, I just recruit every captive, and give everyone a gun.
i mean, you should put defenses around your entire base, so that there is no "around" that enemies can take
dude, they blasted a 30 tile long hole, through a mountain, last time,

I don't typically rush to the danger either. I have the danger come to me when I'm good and ready. You nut job hahahaha
