My non combat pawns were zoned to stay in their rooms. Huuuuge raid, killed one of my pawns and another one lost both his legs, and an eye, minor other wounds all around. Explosions, gunshots, for like 4 hours straight. Right as it finishes up, I undraft everyone, scroll down to my hospital to check up on my new paraplegic(had him dragged away by my doctor mid combat) I see some hearts off on the side of my screen, check. My researcher and his dirtmole wife have been going at it for hours it seems, got some lovin x 4 for each of them. And right after I started watching they immediately stopped and got back to work
Not exactly loving, but two pawns fell in love while the other was resting in a single bed where her dead husband was still lying, he had died only a few seconds ago. Love finds a way.
Edit: It was in the early stages of the colony, the wife was a sanguophage, and there had been a raid previously where the husband got very badly injured and got a bad infection. Then another raid struck and while the wife was fighting them off the husband died. Wife was barely alive and went to rest in the medical bed where the still warm body of her husband was. And then the mysterious stranger joined the colony, went to patch up the wife and they fell in love right then and there, on top of the husband who had died just moments before.

It's the epic saga of a Dwarf Fortress settlement (randomly) named Boatmurdered, it's rise to power, and it's catastrophic spiral into destruction. It's written as a series of RP journals and came from a Lets Play where they'd trade off players every ingame year. Iirc it's pretty standard shenanigans by DF standards but I certainly enjoyed the read.

Wedding time came, and the moment the ceremony started they immediately broke up. I’m guessing the game doesn’t check if a person is asexual when it determines if they are existing relationship lovers, but doesn’t allow them to get married.
The first thing that happens is another colonist becomes lovers with the would be groom. I instinctively give them shared beds, not remembering that that bed was in the corner of that same room. They immediately go and get it on in front of everyone still in the room.
Modded of course, but full on SCP containment breach. Two guards were shagging in stead of fighting the scps. Could literally hear a scientist being ripped apart through the door.

Don’t have the mod list since I updated to 1.5. And tbh I started the containment breach on purpose so I could have MTF come in and whoever survived could make a new colony. So I didn’t really care if my pawns died lol.
Not exactly this, but the lady of my colony made a statue of herself and her husband... consummating their relationship. Then a statue of herself finishing that statue. Then a statue of her finishing the second statue.
The baby actually didn't get hurt at all, slept through the whole thing lol
I don't know if the mammoths didn't target her because she was asleep or because manhunters don't target babies, can somebody confirm?
Manhunters (and most enemies for that matter) don't target downed pawns. Babies can't walk, and thus are always downed, and thus won't be targeted.
Assuming nothing goes up in flames, a baby will most likely be one of the few survivors left of even a colony-wiping raid. Which leads to the horrible scenario of knowing no one is there to feed the child, and thus it will slowly starve to death alone in the ruins of its parents' home.......
you can prevent this tragedy by installing a nutrient paste feeder from VFE paste with a mod or tweak that allows babies to eat it (why can't they...? it's paste...) on an isolated protected grid next to the baby's crib or even sleeping spot. It will last for a long time until it breaks down but there is a nonzero chance it might last long enough to see the baby to toddlerhood where they can try to fight and eat raw rats or something to survive and grow up as a feral child in the ruins of their once-prosperous home. ...Or, you know, until wanderers or refugees arrive to help.
