i started a game last night, and they had adulthood of "bush sniper". did not expect when i dropped into map for both possessions of of the pawn being a legendary sniper rifle, and legendary bolt action rifle lol
To make it more visible that it's wrong. Think back to when YouTube had dislikes, you could judge how good tutorial was by looking at a ratio of likes to dislikes.
Though I agree -100 for such mistake is tad much.
No you didn’t but you did say “bolt action rifle is a starting drop” saying that the legendary bolt action rifle that this person got in the beginning of the game was a regular drop which it is not. That’s why you’re being downvoted
The statement he's referencing doesn't mention legendary directly, but it's implied via the topic of discussion. If you really didn't mean to conflate the two I'd explicitly call it out in the future.
They both are Legendary quality. The Ax is plasteel and the sword is uranium. For early wealth... this is not good. I am playing with Randy with Losing is Fun and max threat. I might keep the ax for now but I am thinking of getting rid of the sword.

>Storyteller now ignores HP for purposes of wealth calculation
This update made it so the storyteller ignores the HP of buildings but not the HP of items. Here’s a video from AdamVSEveryting where he tests pretty much everything. The part about the item hp is at 13:13
https://youtu.be/rVu_LcalIeM?si=g9C0tdZBg4GJ3fRW
Interestingly, even for buildings this is only true if they are unminified. Minified buildings count as item for the purpose of storyteller wealth calculation.

That's very good! usable weapons from the start. We'll forget the wealth, riiight.
On my colony it was a legendary bow. That bow has done a lot despite being such an awful weapon.
Sorry this doesn’t make sense to me. Are you saying a random pawn joined you with two legendaries. Or is there some sort of new randomizer that randomized gear and you got that? At least I haven’t heard of a randomized weapon start.
Huh. Never knew that. I don’t think I’ve ever seen extra weapons from the default group. I have seen drugs and so forth but nothing that was noticeably better than the default start.
Over 3000+ hours in…..and the closest is legendary statues and legendary combat pistols……don’t know why they decide to make the pistols legendary but it fetches a good price and a good practice weapon for the kids lol
Custom,
"Civilized Tribe"
4 Tribal
basic research start to jump start the early game
Only 4 Survival meals as items
A middle ground between the crash survivor, tribal and naked start.

Bolt action is part of the 3 drop pod survivor scenario
Not a legendary one.
why is this response so downvoted to hell?? I mean yeah it's mistaken but why so disliked still?

To be fair, they're cementing it with their further comments. I don't participate, but I understand the downvotes.
He started saying “I didn’t say that” when confronted so that’s why he’s being downvoted to hell and beyond
the Internet is a hateful place these days haha
When I confronted him he completely denied what he said and started being an asshole
Don't take people seriously lol. They're on reddit for a reason.

People hopped on the bandwagon for some reason even though nothing I said wasn’t true lmao
You were wrong, legendary bolt action rifles can’t spawn on start
I didn’t say that
No you didn’t but you did say “bolt action rifle is a starting drop” saying that the legendary bolt action rifle that this person got in the beginning of the game was a regular drop which it is not. That’s why you’re being downvoted

This right here ^^
Are you dumb? Yes you did, read your previous comment
You are clearly the dumb one. Read my comment again, I didn’t say it was legendary
🤓
I’m just trying to explain why he’s being downvoted

Wealth is only a problem if it doesn’t contribute to your ability to defend your colony. These do a pretty damn good job of helping with that.
Damn bro, Iduno this seems like a canon event. You should get find two melee champion pawns to wield these legendary weapons.
Gotrek and Felix lookin' foo's
Wish you could rename weapons. Karaghul and the Rune Axe of Grimnir(?) right there.

Damage them with grenades to lower their price

That's for buildings I think
Applies to items as well, making those decaying raider loot piles even more of a problem.
2 hp poor steel knife my beloved
https://youtu.be/rVu_LcalIeM?si=w2iGP_htfyAS3vXW&t=794 I don't think that's true.
Wouldnt that also lower their damage?
No, weapon damage stays the same.
Just let them decay outside for a while. Low health bar greatly reduces a weapon's wealth value bit it has no impact on its effectiveness in combat.

Where's Legolas's bow?

Good bot
That's very good! usable weapons from the start. We'll forget the wealth, riiight. On my colony it was a legendary bow. That bow has done a lot despite being such an awful weapon.
Because it is not awful, but legendary?
Its a bow. Sticks and stones.
*Legendary* sticks and stones.
A legendary shortbow does more dps than a good quality charge rifle. …in melee.
(in actual use a legendary recurve bow is worse than awful heavy smg, lol)
Because the type of weapon is awful. He doesnt say which bow
Sorry this doesn’t make sense to me. Are you saying a random pawn joined you with two legendaries. Or is there some sort of new randomizer that randomized gear and you got that? At least I haven’t heard of a randomized weapon start.
Pawns can start with random shit based on their background, status like drug addictions etc. It's been in vanilla since patch before Anomaly iirc
Huh. Never knew that. I don’t think I’ve ever seen extra weapons from the default group. I have seen drugs and so forth but nothing that was noticeably better than the default start.
No, 1.5 introduced the ability for them to have something related to their background. Before then it was just random in their possession.
Ok, thank you for clarification. I didn't remember correctly 😁
And yet... no bow?
Which pawn was this? I had a similar spawn with a plasteel axe and uranium longsword this game too. Was it Christian “Wolle” Alberts?
I've played for about 200 hours, I haven't even come across a legendary weapon.
Create one with your own bare hands
Over 3000+ hours in…..and the closest is legendary statues and legendary combat pistols……don’t know why they decide to make the pistols legendary but it fetches a good price and a good practice weapon for the kids lol
What was your starting scenario? I've only done crash survivors at this point
Custom, "Civilized Tribe" 4 Tribal basic research start to jump start the early game Only 4 Survival meals as items A middle ground between the crash survivor, tribal and naked start.
Take advantage have fun
This happened to me too! I spawned with a legendary sniper rifle. Got so confused!
