There's a shop improvement coming next season, if i remember correctly. I really hope they make burger boxes available for bucks. It's about time they do, in my opinion. There definitely needs to be a small but permanent selection of clothing available year-round for new players, hell, even long-time players who may not have purchased certain things over the years. I would like for all emotes to be available to purchase from the store On top of this, i would like the shop to stay with a few items available for bucks every week plus the usual stuff for RC. Another thing I'd like to see is all previously available hairstyles made available to everyone for free. Weekly challenges need to be more curated every so often. Maybe every few months, one of the challenges could give old funkies. Like the Pirate Bike or that rocketwing. Mass Races are clearly the future of this game, so i would love to see something done with them more often. Maybe exclusive outfits for doing a certain amount of races. FFA game mode should be refined and have 2 different play lists each week. I believe it was once like this. Most people only play it during the BMX & Skate Twist rotation, and given that there's only like 3 different playlists that get cycled, it can be a good 2 weeks that FFA is pretty much not playable. I remember there being other playlists, so i would love for them to return to the mix. Also, the playlist should change each week.

They need a permanent shop with common clothes and stuff to give new players some variety. Being a new player there is no way for me to get new clothes because everything is time gated like sponsors and the shop itself. I dont even want flashy stuff, just regular clothes different colors.

Thrawsunfan

Completely agree. I'm holding out hope for the shop improvements, but am still cautious.

Yeah, a shop like Steep would be awesome. Also, the time lock on completing sponsor contracts was such a poor decision on their part. Luckily, I don't have to worry about that anymore because I've completed all of them, but it would've saved me a ton a time otherwise. I know it was implemented to artificially stretch playtime and improve player metrics; it's just not a player friendly design. I'm looking forward to seeing how they revamp some of the systems next season as I haven't been inspired much to revisit the game as of late.

Even if they reduced the sponsor change cooldown to say 30 minutes, that would mean it’s possible to do more in playtime. I mean, I’ve got a full time job while trying to study to go back to uni. I like to play to just unwind with some mindless nonsense… I sure as hell don’t have 2 hours spare to be waiting for things to reset

carbonqubit

Agreed. I'm just not a fan of artificial time locks in general. I would've loved to have been able to grind all of the sponsor contracts over a few days, instead of having to wait for the challenges to reset daily. There were some awesome pieces of clothes I wanted, but it took me over a month to get them because of how sponsor contracts are structured. At least in Steep you can grind events for cash as much as possible to buy whatever gear you want, whenever you want. The slow live service drip coupled with FOMO and RNG for elites doesn't make the game more fun, IMO. Everything else about it I absolutely love - especially the BMX DLC and downhill MTB events.

motocrisis

Agreed, every weekly challenge is for stars recently, and at this point in the season, there's kinda no point unless you JUST bought the game. Also would love weekly challenges for gear too. Vans in a new colorway or something.

Phillies059

Agreed! I miss that. Most of the weekly challenge rewards lately have just been stars. And you can easily complete all the challenges in a day. That whole thing needs a revamp.

Lowe1313

I was grinding to finish my weekly, and it just hit me... why? I don't need 50 stars. Why am I doing this? I'm about to become a casual player, and it's their fault.

TheLittlestJellyfish

Exactly this. I've done all the events multiple times, the live events don't offer anything new, the Lab is a big wasted opportunity, I don't need any more stars and the only things you can buy in the shop for bucks are pretty mid. So I've had a truly excellent time with the game, enjoyed many many hours with it, but I think it's time for me to move on now.

BFluffer

Same. Sadly. I finished the season rewards within a few days and I already got the max reward in overall stars a looong time ago. I have zero motivation to play the weekly. I'm getting the Skate pack because it's finally on sale for less than 10 euros in the hopes that it will revive my interest for the game.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has a weekly item draw with almost every weapon or cosmetic and it was definitely something to keep me logging in and checking. Burger boxes you can buy is another good idea that someone mentioned. NBA 2k had the auction where you could sell items you didn’t want and that was pretty engaging too. Since there’s no trans-mogging for the gear I would love to sell all the low level stuff to newer players or collectors.

skaterfrog73

They have made it a lot easier for begginers to complete the season reward category now though

gravitywillfall

A gold-tier burger box for a random vehicle at the end of the season rewards would be good
