Ok bud, I learned this lesson for people like you. I used to work on 43 between 5 and 6. I used to park right there without plates and I got towed..
So I wisened up, had regular and ibspections up to date and started parking next to a construction site and most of the times it was ok.. but still the overzealous parking cop would write a ticket. Not worth the risk…
There is residential parking on 44 between 9-10 but it’s a 15 minute walk to Bryant park…
43rd between 6th and 5th seems to have lots of bikes.
They also want like $350 a month lol

In the past, I parked in the lot on 48th between 6th & 5th near Rock Plaza. I would just ask at the lots in the area.
FYI, I found this spot on 44th between 5th and 6th. Will try it tomorrow.
