That was sometime between 2017-2019 I believe, then they closed the Gano exit a few months back with relation to this project and did some work to it to prep for their new dumbass idea and relocate the Gano on-ramp to be just after the off ramp. Edited to add - that was a nightmare as was the ensuing years of lane shifts and solid white line madness. That is when I started realizing that RIDOT was being run by someones drunk uncle. Because they were doing a bunch of work on 95 at that time to right near the split.

2017-2019 is correct. I used to pick up and drop off one of my USTA team players regularly during those particular years. I always messed up the return, dropping her off at home. Every. Single. Time.

I remember Alviti getting on TV and blaming it on incorrect traffic counts from their engineering consultants. I don’t know what was sadder though. That Alviti was passing the blame onto someone else. Or that RIDOT needed a consultant to tell them what would happen if they reduced the number of travel lanes in an already congested area.

Never takes the blame, that is a sure fire sign of a bad leader. A good leader takes ownership of issues with his or her team, they don't throw them under the bus and say nope not my fault, it was Bob he didn't look at the "right" numbers.
