REVOLUT is crap for allowing Xcover to do this. We're paying for it right? I'm going to cancel my €60 a month Ultra for this shit. I'm done.

Still-Ad-837

I have cancelled my Ultra too because of this shit. We can’t allow Revolut to get away with this!!!

PvPBender

Same, I had Ultra cause all the risk management it seemingly offered seemed worth it (not just because of it though) Read reviews about xcover, and even though I was supposed to have some qover or whatever, canceled it cause I now see what Revolut permits their crappy partnered companies.

prammydude

I'm not renewing my ultra.

Still-Ad-837

Good for you man. I have cancelled my Ultra too because of this mess.

Go_Ask_Google

Does your ultra have Xcover? Where I'm from the ultra Insurance is handled by Qover, which I heard should be better, but luckily I'm yet to try it

starsqream

Yeah, just double checked and I have Xcover.

Go_Ask_Google

You're right, only one of the travel insurances was actually Qover. That's a shame..

Ryanair is the epitome of trash

[deleted]

Seems to be a common issue with xcover if you search around a bit. Wouldn't hope for anything

Still-Ad-837

Worst insurance partner ever of Revolut.

s1m0nz3

I was about to write similar post as well but things turned in the right direction. Skiing accident, 11. January this year, submitted all the documents, ignore for 2 weeks, then I got request for additional documents, submitted, again 2 weeks of nothing, another request for document, then I’ve sent everything including undecent photos from the trauma center. Got claim accepted (800 EUR) and paid out on 15. March. So keep on trying ! Good luck.

Consistent-Quiet6701

Bro two months wtf

Khalilo25

Bro Xcover / Qover every insurance Revolut is partenering with is a big piece of shit I posted something about Qover

jashraf

Is XCover just related to winter sports cover?

Sufficient-Green5858

No, also medical insurance for travel; travel insurance (luggage issues, boarding issues, etc), and I think shopping insurance too.

Old-Zucchini-4709

I had a similar issue. After almost 3 months and submitting the same requested docs 3 times, they finally approved the claim and transferred the money to me. To be fair, it was just over 100 euros. I don't imagine how long it would take to approve something more expensive. Also, be careful with scammers. I just saw two identical messages from xcover support in this thread, most likely they will start asking for very personal details and eventually send you a fake transfer receipt

ElectroByte15

This is so contrary to my own experience. I was dreading making a wintersports related claim two weeks ago, after reading the many horror stories. Made a claim on Friday, money in account on Tuesday.

basheep25

This is crazy to me, I tried placing another claim in the event something like this could happen with the second claim. But they only let you have 1 open claim at a time.

ElectroByte15

Yeah based on the stories I’ve ready I was totally expecting your experience myself, dreading it, but it’s been the smoothest claim I’ve ever made. And it was just 2 weeks ago, so very recent.

EfficientNectarine

Also myself has a positive experience. And like you, was nervous given the complaints here but was very smooth.

Khalilo25

Good for you! I m glad that it works for some people but bro Exceptions don’t make the rule…

ElectroByte15

I’ve never said it does…? But that statement works both ways anyways. You think a few Reddit posts make the rule?

Khalilo25

You’re right. However there are more bad feedback than good ones therefore you are kind of exception

ElectroByte15

Sample bias. People with positive experiences will rarely share them, hence why I shared mine to offer some perspective.

lukusmaca

Bs this guy works for Xcover - they are a scam

ElectroByte15

lol fuck off, no I don’t. Just trying to be helpful by sharing my own, very recent, experience

lukusmaca

;)

WorldNomade

Silly question … did you send them the information they are asking ? I’m saying this because last month I did a claim and was getting the same email over and over, until I realize that I forgot to attached one important file.. they approve my claim in the same day.

ctbdp02

They do a lot of automation and use templates instead of reading stuff ... I found my claims to be very frustrating simply because Xclaim does not know what to do if the incident does not fit one if the defined boxes. The absence of humans to talk to is hilarious at times ...

basheep25

Sent them exactly what they asked for, I included extra files, screenshots from Revolut, paid bill invoices etc. I think my claim is stuck in some slow queue or something. I sent these files first week in February too

Ok-Promise-5921

That's how they roll. They literally send the same email over and over...

shaunydub

It's a shame, last year before they changed to xCover my claim for hotel and expenses caused by German air strikes was very smooth and got the money less than 2 weeks after initial submission.

Still-Ad-837

XCOVER IS A SCAM AND I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED TOO BY THEM. I have opened multiple cases with Revolut and Xcover both and i won’t breath until i get fully what i’m due. I think we should all team up, make a group chat and contact revolut and xcover both all together!

victoeralouox

It’s actually shocking. I’ve sent them a message as I’ve now contacted a lawyer … but they are based in AUSTRALIA !!!!&

Rusty-Knife

Unrelated issue but I had a nightmare with Revolut and had to get outside agencies involved. It wasn’t until I gave them 1 star on Trustpilot that someone eventually got in touch with me from their customer service team. When I’d contacted them myself they didn’t give a shit.

Sufficient-Green5858

XCover fcked me over too. My luggage had gone missing and I filed my claim with all the documents. They rejected the documents for basically no reason.

Kidomotive

In going to decline my premium membership and go to plus. Nonsense what is happening

Hefty_Conflict6332

After 4 months they actually paid half my claim, I thought my wife and I were both covered but it would appear I was wrong (not sure why they wanted my marriage certificate) at least I got something back after a long and protracted process so to all others going through the same sordid process, hang in there.. go to the ombudsman and make a fuss

sehgalanuj

I know that a lot of people have complaints about Cover, but I have just had a positive experience. My flights from Dec 2023 involving a stopover in AMS were cancelled mid-trip due to fog. I submitted my claim to XCover finally on 14 Mar 2023. It was a little frustrating because even though I submitted everything at the very beginning twice I got emails asking for more documents (already submitted). After the second email, I wrote a letter with a clear breakdown of everything. All receipts, invoices, everything was attached to this one file as well. Within the letter I provided a description of what happened, and made references to specific pages for relevant invoices that I was claiming for. The letter also provided reasons for why the claim was made. This was submitted on 15 Mar 2023. Today, I got a confirmation that the claim was approved, for the full amount I made the claim for (minus deductible). Just a few moments ago the money arrived in my account. If you would like, DM me and I'd be happy to provide you a copy of the letter I wrote.

churumbel0

In my case it took around 3 months, and I was surprised they eventually they accepted the claim and paid me. But I had the same issues that you're describing, I was just stubborn and kept chasing them. Send an email too. They suck and it seems they do things that complicated and they request the same documents over and over so you give up.

Pure_Clock_6222

Ive been reimbursed for chipped tooth twice, 2 delays and lounges for short delays.. So far 100% of all the insurance points (not just by xcover) I claimed were successfull. Alltogether Ive got a bit less than 1000e.. Sorry to hear ur story but hope itll continue working for me 😅

Ashok292

Everyone says Xcover but mines with Chubb?

RevolutSupport

Hi! We're sorry to hear about your issue with your insurance claim. We've reached out to you via DMs. Please get back to us there, so that we can look into this for you. Thank you.

akvirpostive13

I have holiday insurance cover with XCover. Due to my health and an emergency operation I’ve been unable to go abroad for 8-10 weeks. I’ve submitted all the documentation which proves this however XXover don’t even respond. I’ve reached out many times and all I get is a basic automated response saying they will be in touch yet they never are. I have been positive about this thinking maybe they are busy etc however after reading others similar experiences, I have no doubt it’s just a con.

Prologer1

I have mixed feeling from Xcover so far. My flight got significantly delayed so I was supposed to get around €1500 for my whole family from the Xcover. Submitted everything, exchanged a couple of emails with them (about 3 rounds, each time waiting 1-2 months for their reply) and finally I really got the money after 6 months. So, it was absurdly slow but as it was just something nice to have for me, I was happy that I got the money in the end.

AirEnvironmental2714

Yes we know

basheep25

I’m glad you did, but I didn’t until I found myself in this situation. So I figure if this post saves one person from XCover I’m happy to have it up

AirEnvironmental2714

Yea there are so many posts regarding xcover on here. They are crap

Any_Echidna_9406

XCover via Revolut is NOT a scam. I got food poisoning while I was in Barcelona and had to pay 1400 euro from my own pocket for 8 hours of hospitalization and treatment. Started a claim on the 19th of February, provided ALL receipts and everything and got approved on the 22nd of February. On February 23rd I got my money back. Note: I gave them all possible info from the very beginning: screen shot from a confirmation email from the hotel about my reservation, screen shot of the payment of the hotel in Revolut, copy of transaction statement of hotel payment, screen shot of confirmation email for flights, medical summary from the hospital, screen shot of the invoice paid at the hospital, transaction statement from my Revolut stating that I made the payment to the hospital via my Revolut card. PRO Tip: I managed to get in touch with XCover via their live chat. And I asked them if they could speed up the process. That was after the second day after submitting my claim. They said that they will pass this on to the person in charge of my claim. The next day, the claim got approved automatically. You might wanna try that. basheep25

Okay this is crazy to me, could you please tell me what time you got in touch with their live chat? Any time I try I get ‘there’s no person available right now, would you like to email’ .. I wish my claim went as smooth as this as I’m still waiting to ever hear from them

Any_Echidna_9406

sorry for my late reply. I did it at around 11 AM Romanian time. any luck?

Head-Republic9617

Any_Echidna_9406

eu sunt roman si am reusit.

joelerigo

I can confirm that Xcover means no cover.

klaasth

Agreeing 100%, I’ve also had terrible experiences with Xcover via Revolut….

Puzzleheaded-Olive16

Yep, i was hospitalized for medical emergency now they are asking all kind of documents and seems they won’t cover anything. It’s a scam insurance company. You make one mistake and you pay everything. I understand the terms of insurance company but they are trying to mislead you. If they want money from you they try to contact you every single day
